Actress Brooke Shields has been living quite the charmed life on both coasts ever since she was young. Her hard work first paid off when she bought a home for over $3 million in Pacific Palisades back in the 90s, and later she would go onto own stunning properties in New York City and even a getaway in the Hamptons. Brooke Shields has more professional accomplishments to her name than most. This talented actress and model began her career as an infant and at the age of 11, she was already starring in the title role of the film “Pretty Baby”. By the age of 14, she’d become the youngest cover girl in Vogue Magazine’s history and over the course of her career, she’s reinvented herself time and time again by becoming an author, producer, and spokeswoman for brands such as Calvin Klein. In the 80’s she became even more famous for starring in the films “Blue Lagoon” and “Endless Love”, the latter of which was initially hit with an X rating due to its numerous nude scenes. Well, by the time she was 16 years old, Brooke was one of the biggest stars in the entire world. So, in 1997, when she dropped $3.25 Million for her longtime home in LA it barely made a dent in her bank account. A few years later, Brooke met and married writer/producer Chris Henchy and these two would head East to buy a place of their own in New York’s Greenwich Village for $5.5 million and these days, they’ve also acquired a vacation getaway in Southampton too.

While Brooke might spend the better part of her time living in New York City these days,
she used to live on the West Coast in a $3.3 million mansion located in LA's Pacific
Palisades.
This 5,300 square foot rustic chalet-style residence was selected by Brooke more than
two decades ago in 1997, when she was still married to the former professional tennis
player Andre Agassi.
This three-story, five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom home was originally built in 1982, and sat
on a secluded parcel of land with canyon views.
Inside, you'd find Douglas fir hardwood floors and bright white beamed ceilings throughout.
The very front of the home offers a gated driveway and a classic brick motor court,
leading up to the grand, double-height foyer that's been connected to a massive living
room.
Elsewhere on this same level of the mansion is a formal dining room beside a fully updated
chef's kitchen that's been fitted with a marble Eden Island, as well as top-of-the-line
stainless steel appliances.
The top floor is entirely dedicated to Brooke's former master suite, which includes not only
an office slash study, but a fireplace, sitting room, and even a balcony that looks directly
out onto LA's Getty Museum.
The penthouse-style suite also boasts a spa-inspired bathroom that's been decked out with yet
ANOTHER fireplace, a makeup vanity, soaking tub, and a marble-clad steam shower.
All of that, and there's also enough room left over for a walk-in closet and an extra
large dressing room.
Meanwhile, down on the lowest level of the house is where the four additional guest rooms
are tucked away, alongside a media lounge, a wet bar, and a games room.
Out in the backyard, this steeply sloped loft features a pathway carved into the hillside
that leads down to a secluded pool and spa, with an accompanying waterfall feature.
There's also a deck that's perfect for al fresco dining in the forest-like surroundings.
Since Brooke first headed east in the 2000s, this home largely served as a rental unit.
In fact, it was rumored that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner once shared this fully furnished
home a number of years ago during their marriage, and paid through the nose at the rate of around
$35,000 a month.
Then, in March of 2022, Brooke would finally sell the home for a reported $7.45 million,
which is a good deal more than she paid for it in the first place.
After meeting who would be her next husband, Brooke and Chris Henge moved to New York City,
where they found a four-story West Village townhouse for $5.5 million in 2008.
Moving back to her former hometown of New York City was something that Brooke always
planned on doing, and she would tell Architectural Digest,
I promised myself I would give my girls the kind of richly textured urban childhood that
comes with sinking roots into a real New York neighborhood.
I wanted to create for them and us an experience of home with a layered and resonant personal
history.
To do just that, she ensured this four-floor brick house, originally built in 1910, would
once again look its absolute best.
When she originally bought the place, it was in poor condition and needed a complete overhaul,
but she could still easily visualize herself living here, telling AD,
After a quick walkthrough, I could see our future there.
My bathtub in a niche by a window, our daughter's playroom on the top floor, a light-flooded
parlor floor kitchen with a big hearth and a balcony.
So Brooke and her husband hired a Brooklyn design firm with a reputation for innovative
reconfigurations of historic buildings known as MADE.
Their mission was to salvage as much of the home's original detailing and structure as
possible.
Eventually, the overall look of the home became a mix of furnishings and materials that included
neo-classical Italian tables, hand-blocked wallpaper, Chinese lacquer consoles, and…
a ton of art.
Looking to give the overall feel of the home's decor a downtown edge, the mood strikes you
from the moment you step foot in the front foyer, only to be greeted by an 1860s Chinese
desk.
Over in the kitchen, pops of color are all over, like with the reupholstered chairs in
orange patent leather – a look that Brooke likes to call Hermes Orange.
And there are also pendant lamps, and a chimney that's been faced in glazed tile.
Then the dining room boasts a dark-colored chandelier and a vintage Ralph Lauren home
marble-topped pedestal table.
In Brooke's living room, there's a French Empire commode, a 1970s Lucite-based cocktail
table, and some of her incredible art collection.
And while the living room is a class act, the nearby family room has more of a cozy
feel with plenty of family photos.
Upstairs in Brooke's study, there's an Italian neo-classical desk, tub chairs, and
a vintage Louis Vuitton trunk that was a gift to Brooke from her hubby Chris.
The couple's master suite also has unique furnishings, like the rest of the home, from
the special dress-up bed, and there are also features like an upscale walk-in closet.
Surrounding out this space is the master bath with its freestanding tub located right by
the window – just like Brooke originally envisioned – and a custom-designed vanity
with a tile floor.
For any guests that stay over, this bedroom has an Italian neo-classical slipper chair
covered in orange suede, and a marble mantel with a pair of antique-style brass lamps.
After that main home was all complete, and a few years after finding her groove as a
New Yorker once again, Brooke decided to do that thing that wealthy city-dwellers like
to do – pick themselves up a vacation home on the beach.
She and her hubby headed to New York's Long Island where they discovered the perfect place
in the village of Southampton.
While Brooke hasn't gone out of her way to show this place off, a few years ago, she
did invite the folks from Better Homes and Gardens into her home to take a few pictures.
From those, we were able to learn a bit more about the place, from its cheerfully painted
walls, to its all-white kitchen.
For instance, check out this sun-filled, buttery-colored yellow living room where Brooke, decorated
with chairs, decked out in a hot pink fabric after originally inheriting them from her
mom.
As for the main floor family room, it boasts layered rugs, chevron-armed chairs, and an
oversized knit throw that adds a very appreciated textural element to the room.
Completing the main floor is Brooke's all-white kitchen, with rich wood floors, glossy subway
tiles, and striped barstools.
Nearby, there's also a family breakfast nook, with built-in banquette and bistro chairs.
Then, down in the basement is yet another family room, which is a bright space thanks
to pops of color.
And rounding out the interior spaces is Brooke's home office.
Out back, this charming cottage boasts a petite patio that's surrounded by lush greenery,
flowers, and a table that's only a few hundred feet away from the beach.
As nice as Brooke Shields' other home in Greenwich clearly is, this beach house provides
a nice contrast to her day-to-day living.
It might not be a tropical paradise like in Blue Lagoon, but the accommodations are far
nicer.
Alright everyone, that's gonna bring this latest house tour to a close.
