Only had a handful of points, but the night before, he was really good. This guy's been outstanding. Even better than that, after a bit of a slow start to the year, he's back in MVP form. Very quickly to the basket, Dennis Schroeder. Here is Schroeder underneath. Oh, the good trailer. That time was back then, and he scores. And for Pete Washington, 141-128. They had 98 points in the paint. That was too short of an NBA record. This time, they knocked down a three. KCP, they only had four made threes the other night in that way. As LeBron goes to the rack. Joker to the dribble. Look at this pass. Look at this bounce. A no-look pass to Gordon, and he slams it home. In fact, when the Lakers won here, as that one's blocked by Gordon, it was their first win of the year. Schroeder in the attacking zone. They're wearing their purple and black and gold uniforms. Dennis Schroeder. And they're just going isolation. And they're gonna throw it away. Lead pass for A.B. Here he goes. He lays it up and in. Good hands defensively to get that deflection which turned into an easy deuce. Lonnie. Yes, sir. That three. Beverly, the fake. Beverly goes towards the rim. Good move by Pat Bev. Kind of looked like a little walk, but they allow it. Easy deuce, and the Lakers give up an easy deuce. Yeah, they took it out of the net. Came right back to the Lakers who weren't ready. A.B. Reverse layup around Jokic. A.B. came up a little gimpy. Or did he throw his shoe? Oh, what a tap by Russ. What a tap! And they score right before the buzzer expires. Never thought they were gonna get that second attempt on. It's taken by Jokic. In and out and back in again. Back and in Jokic. He's gonna have to turn back. And layup is good. And the foul. It looks like you can stop it, but you just can't. Couple of big steps for A.B. And he rattles in and over Jokic. Now they got numbers. Here's the ageless Jeff Green who's gonna get an and one. In an ankle was Lonnie Walker. Talked about how the Nuggets are the number one shooting team in the league. Not anything surprising for them. And Troy's got the basketball. Oh, shovel pass. Teebron with the slam. Highland still with it. In close quarters. D.J. literally throws it up and in. Nothing outside of the paint for D.J. Nice strong move to the basket in the backhand layup by Russ. Down the middle he goes. That's his first field goal attempt and it results in an and one. Bowes Highland with some speed. Oh, blocked that time by Troy Brown Jr. Backing it up is Russ off the window for two. Highland all the way that time. He went right around Austin Reeves. Here's Austin into the paint. Finds Thomas Bryant. Thomas Bryant was a good three-point shooter when he first moved to Washington. Patrick Beverley. Long distance. That's a good sign there, a good sight. Now LeBron's gonna try a three. Got it! LeBron the triple. Here's Brown. Lob under to D.J. There's that reverse slam that we saw numerous times last year in purple and gold uniform. Jeff Green gonna try for the right side. Right hand for three. Remember that nine-point lead the Lakers had just a minute ago? Jokic, Gordon, throws it down. The postman is now Davis. He lost it. He might have thought he got fouled. Jokic on the run, the alley-oop. Oh, Gordon can't finish. Twice. Jokic will, and Gordon will peel himself off the deck, and the Lakers need a timeout. Jokic in the front court. Oh, who's guarding Gordon? I'll tell ya, nobody. Timeout Lakers. Lakers is having a lot of problem with the zone. Good pass. There's a guy that can dive and finish, and that's Austin Reeves. He's there right now, but Reeves launches. Got it from three. The schedule looks a little faded from there. Thrown down, two-hand style by Aaron Gordon. Kick to the corner. They're gonna give Brown that shot, and he nails it. Yeah, Brown, remember I talked about how Brown hurt them from behind the arc in the previous game? Reeves bumps into two defenders. Count it! But two, and he gets an and one. 20th year, one way, then the other. Scored! Gettin' aggressive, LeBron. Westbrook, James. Timeout. Jokic who's been here in the second quarter. LeBron throws it down. Lakers lead by two. Shot clock is two ahead of the game clock. Gordon on its way. Down it goes. 65-64. Then it's Pat Bev to dive. Two-hand slam dunk. Shovel pass. Gordon, he'll dunk it. You know he will. Bounce it into the Joker. Murray's gonna have a layup, or a dunk. Whichever one, he had his choice. A nice little handoff pass to the center. For the Lakers, they hit a three. They're gonna need a timeout. For Jokic, he has 12 points, seven rebounds, and he scores the easy runner. Nobody there to stop the Joker. There is Murray. Got it. That's settled in. Jamal Murray. Put it into the corner to Schreuder. Dennis, nothing but net. LeBron for three. That one glances off the right side of the rim. Down the middle. He goes! Finish by LeBron. So once again, no AD for the rest of the night with a right foot injury. That is just nothing specific at all. And that one, here's a layup by Bryant. Cover a whole lot of ground. He deserved it. The left hand. Nice use of the left hand. Now it's Schreuder. Four-point switch. Two-point game. Jokic with five to shoot. Goes to the dribble. Off balance. Remember, Jokic has three fouls, so one more on him, and it's a little bit of jeopardy for them. Knock it down. Rattle it home, Austin. Ross in the attacking zone. Here he goes. All the way. We're tied. Now attacking Jokic. All the way. Score! Westbrook. Isaac goes into his action. Drive. Kick. Schreuder. Got it! LeBron going baseline. Hangs in the air. Trying for Pat Bev. Got it! Knock it down. Patrick Beverley. Here is Murray. Oh, that's the kind of three he used to knock down with regularity. Ross in very deep. Just kind of threw it up. Tapped by Christie. Tapped it in! The rookie kept it alive. Jeff Green shaking his head. Stolen by Murray. Defense, offense. And Murray dunks it. There have been 44 combined points off of turnovers. Take it 46. 22 scored by the Lakers. 24 scored by Denver. Christie. Play with some confidence, Max. Open in the corners. They're going to be Christie again. Yes, sir! Murray mid-range. 104-95 to get it back to single digits. But then Russ misses. Then Russ challenges. And Russ into the first row. And he took the official with him. Both Russ and the official into the first row. Russ backing in. Murray. Fall away off the glass. Nicely done by Westbrook. Bryant! Christie. Russ. Thomas Bryant. Here he is. Underneath. Score it! He's just wearing them out. What a beat. LeBron down the middle. Scoop and score! Was that pass to LeBron or did he intercept it? Wilkins. Got it. And it's the game. LeBron. Little fall away. Drips. He scores again. He's got 11 rebounds. Eight assists. LeBron! I guess LeBron's gonna be the monster. Yeah, he's doing his thing. Take it away, Lakers. Here's the bounce to Thomas Bryant. Nuggets are gonna drop to 17 and 11. Lakers now even their record at seven and seven. And they're just going to hatchet. So Stu, guess what? What's that? We're giving away titles and who gets them? Everybody. Everybody asks for the Lakers deal.
