Good morning, Orlando.
Going somewhere better than an amusement park today.
All-you-can-eat Japanese barbecue buffet.
I've always heard of Gyukaku.
Um, been here once I think in my life in New York.
Never knew they had an all-you-can-eat option.
There you go.
All-you-can-eat Japanese barbecue buffet.
So there's three options for the all-you-can-eat.
There's premium, ultimate, and supreme.
Premium it looks like it has most of what you would ever want.
So one, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
Over a dozen meat items including shrimp, chicken breast, and the supreme.
The only difference in terms of meat is you get a, um,
Kalbi short rib, which I think you only get one.
And then there's duck breast.
And then taiyaki ice cream.
And some mushrooms and ramen.
And of course you get all the previous tiers as well.
So I think honestly like ultimate would be pretty good already.
But here's the thing.
They got a lot of rules here.
So it is a 90 minute limit.
This is the same thing I experienced in Japan with all-you-can-eat wagyu.
It's 90 minutes to like finish everything and pretty much get out the door.
So they only let you order for one hour.
So you only get 60 minutes to order.
And then you get 90 minutes to eat.
And then whatever's left over they're gonna charge you out of car prices.
So there you go.
There's a strategy to this.
So I made a mistake.
We should have just ordered like all meats.
Soon as I touch the table, more meats.
The appetizers maybe later.
This is a battle against time too.
So gotta start grilling.
And there's three dipping sauces.
Ponzu.
Spicy.
I'm just gonna make this process a little faster here.
And sweet soy sauce.
Let's try the meat.
This is the best cut on the menu.
And dip just a little bit in the yuzu.
Thank you so much.
This is the yuzu shishito, right?
Yeah.
Nice.
Thank you.
Shishito pepper is pretty good.
So on my plate is the kalbi and the harami skirt steak.
Kalbi had very, very nice marbling.
I knew this thing was gonna be juicy.
I knew it was gonna be tender.
Look at all the juice squeezing out of this.
And a little yuzu, a little chili sauce.
That's awesome.
Food is good, no doubt.
You taste the smoke and all that smoke went right into that beef as well.
This is the skirt steak.
Oh, that's juicy.
At least for me, I like a little char on my barbecue.
I love it.
The skirt steak is good because it's thick.
And that is marinated.
And it's marinated pretty darn well.
And this thing, you take a bite.
That's basically all tender juice.
All right, meat is done.
Waiting for round two.
This is what I'm saying.
Like, get all the meat you can.
I think you can get some appetizers while you're grilling to maximize your time here.
I should have done that.
Such a rookie mistake.
This is the spicy tuna with fried white rice on the bottom.
Look at this.
This is pretty good.
But just know this is also gonna be really, really filling.
I mean, I'm happy eating this because it tastes delicious.
But this is definitely designed as a beef blocker.
Like, you'll eat less beef once you eat this.
So two rounds of meat is coming.
Toro beef.
This is gonna be good.
This is really thin.
Good amount of fat on each side.
Pretty much just fatty beef.
But you gotta maximize the grill too.
Like, as much as you can put onto the grill, the better.
Toro beef.
That's probably the best cut.
Again, so much good smoky flavor in this beef.
Different sauce-wise.
I like the yuzu.
I like the spicy.
I'm not a fan of the sweet soy because some of these marinate, it's kind of sweet already.
Yuzu, the spicy sauce.
That's the best.
Next round is the yaki shabu beef and the filet mignon.
Something else I noticed about this grill.
This heat is on high right now.
And this grill is definitely not as hot as you would think.
Definitely not as hot as other a la carte Japanese barbecues I've been to.
The meat does take a while to cook.
Even the thin ones take a while to cook.
Not saying there's a conspiracy here, but just telling you what's up.
Premium sirloin.
Oh, that is the toughest cut of meat I have had so far.
I would not recommend getting the premium sirloin.
This thing is really thick.
Not juicy at all.
Very tough to chew.
Definitely the worst cut of meat so far.
Yaki shabu beef.
Another thin cut of beef.
This is good.
I like any really thin cuts of beef.
Actually, I'm gonna amend my statement.
This is pretty tough too.
I think one piece that was really tender.
Other ones, ah, it's pretty darn tough.
Thank you.
Keep the meat train going.
Can I get the kalbi chuck rib?
I'll do the prime kalbi again.
The toro and then another toro.
Thank you.
Le Mignon should be done.
Le Mignon is good.
Of course, very lean, but very tender.
Yeah, that's a very tender cut of meat.
All right, three rounds in, 30 minutes of ordering time left.
Really like the Le Mignon.
Oh, this is good.
This is really good.
The New York shrimp.
Wow.
You could tell that's gonna be a good cut of meat.
Wow.
The New York one is nice and juicy.
Angus beef rib as well.
I'm just a fan of any meat with tons of fat.
Especially when the fat caramelizes a little bit with a sweet glaze on the outside from the grill.
That is so nice.
That might be one of my favorite rounds so far.
So Angus beef rib, New York steak, kalbi chuck rib.
Amazing.
Ordering window is down to 15 minutes.
We put in one more order.
So there should be one round of appetizers coming.
And then we put in one more order of meat.
And hopefully, hopefully after all that, we get to do one more order of dessert.
And then that will be really, really awesome.
I think that's mine.
I ordered a ramen just because I wonder how it is.
Oh, that's a nice big bowl of ramen.
Wow.
Thank you so much.
No, that's it.
Thank you so much.
All right.
So mushroom medley.
Oh, I think you're supposed to put this on a grill.
There's butter in there.
I'm going to seal this up.
Just leave it over here.
Addictive cucumber, cabbage salad.
So this is the ramen.
Just purely out of curiosity.
I was wondering how this is.
So with a couple hard boiled eggs.
Actually, spicy cabbage salad is pretty good.
Cucumber's not bad.
Wouldn't mind some garlic in that, but not bad.
I know the ramen is going to fill me up.
It is a giant bowl of ramen.
But I really want to try the different items on the menu as much as I can.
The broth is just okay.
Noodles are awesome.
Really good.
That boiled egg is pretty sad.
I feel like it definitely needs some spice.
I hope this hot sauce works in this broth.
I wish I brought my hot oil here.
Hot sauce is not that spicy.
Actually, the ponzu might be pretty good in the ramen.
I think that actually made it better.
Yeah, add the yuzu.
Ramen got a lot better with the yuzu.
Did put in one last order of dessert and got one each of the dessert on the menu.
Toro beef, so good.
This is the sukiyaki bibimbap.
Looks good.
Looks like it's glowing.
Oh, this is great.
The bibimbap is amazing.
Melty beef.
Every grain of rice is so flavorful.
Especially what's nice, the crispy rice on the side.
Pretty satisfied.
Only problem, kind of have to eat dessert and the main dish at the same time
because all the desserts are here.
I think right now we have about 20 minutes to finish eating everything on the table.
Challenge accepted.
Oh, gotta start eating the taiyaki now.
This thing is already melting.
So they put the taiyaki in a little skillet and they heat it up a little bit, I think.
This is great.
The taiyaki is super crispy on the outside.
Really nice with the ice cream.
One last thing to eat, s'mores.
Here's what you can do.
When it's melted enough, stick it to the chocolate.
Put it back on.
Melt the chocolate and the marshmallow.
There you go.
How is that?
Is that a good s'more?
Is that the best s'more ever?
Pretty fun first experience here at Gokaku.
Again, didn't know they had it all you can eat.
Tried it out.
I think it's pretty worth it.
Tons of stuff on the menu.
Favorite meat, I think premium kalbi, the toro beef, angus beef rib.
Anything with a rib on there is gonna be good.
Non-meat items, sukiyaki bibimbap, amazing.
Cucumber is not bad.
Dessert items are really good, especially the taiyaki.
Sorry.
And this is pretty fun too.
All right, bubble tea time.
Refreshing.
So, positives about the buffet.
Meat was delicious.
The cooked dishes were really good as well, especially sukiyaki bibimbap.
Actually, I like the spicy tuna too.
All the cooked dishes are pretty tasty.
Overall, I think that's all you can eat.
It's very well worth it, especially if you go with a group of people.
I think it's great.
What I did not like was the one hour time limit where you have to place all your orders.
And I thought the fire was pretty low.
Also, grill wasn't changed once.
So at the end, it kind of got a little nasty.
But again, overall, I think it's a solid buffet.
I liked it.
The staff's really nice.
I don't think the supreme is probably worth it for most people.
I think the middle tier, that's the sweet spot.
Because with supreme, you're only getting two new cuts of beef.
And there were plenty of good cuts, even with the lowest tier.
Also, one thing I forgot to mention.
You can order two items per person at a time.
So there's two of us.
We can order four things at a time.
That's why I say go with more people.
You're gonna have a better experience.
Anyway, hopefully you guys found this review of Gyokaku's All You Can Eat Buffet helpful.
As always, thank you all so much for watching.
Till we eat again.
See you later.
