In celebrity real estate news, Kim Kardashian has purchased yet another property – this one located in Malibu and it also marks the most expensive home purchase in the area this year. Kim has dropped a whopping $70.4 million on the oceanfront estate, where, up until 2018 Cindy Crawford and her family used to live. Of course, Kim still lives in her beloved and uber minimalistic mansion in Hidden Hills with her four children – and also bought the fixer-upper house directly next door to it for $6.3 million. Kim Kardashian has made headlines for property purchases more than once this year, but this latest sale marks the largest one yet. The reality TV star slashed SKIMS entrepreneur dropped over $70 million on a stunning mega-mansion on the shores of Malibu. Not only is this the most expensive home sale in all of Malibu so far for 2022, but it’s also this year’s fourth-priciest in all of California. Well, we can count on a billionaire like Kim to make money moves like that. Earlier this month in September 2022, Kim also placed two of her “unused” properties on the market – a downtown Calabasas condo and a modest ranch home near her Hidden Hills estate.

a downtown Calabasas condo, and a modest ranch home near her Hidden Hills estate.
Hey guys, it's Kara and today we're gonna be checking out Kim K's brand new Malibu mansion
and more. Now let's get into this video. In September 2022, Kim Kardashian picked up
her latest real estate trophy, a $70.4 million mansion in Malibu, California. The property,
which spans over 3 acres of land, is located on the Encinal Bluffs, which is one of the most
exclusive corners of Malibu, and as you might expect, it's oceanfront. Kim's new home was
owned by Cindy Crawford and her husband Randy Gerber from 2015 to 2018, but back then it was
a larger 6-acre parcel. In 2018, Ms. Crawford decided to sell but had split the land and kept
the smaller, vacant half for herself. Property that's now been sold to Kim was purchased for
$45 million by a retired hedge fund manager who spruced up the mansion while living here,
adding new landscaping all over, as well as some other updates. The Mediterranean-style mansion
was built in 1944 but was thoroughly remodeled back in the 90s and once again in 2016,
and inside offers up a spacious 7,450 square feet. Considering the home, which boasts 4 beds
and 5.5 bathrooms, is hidden behind a tall gate and hedges, it's extremely private.
Once past the long driveway and inside the abode, there are a handful of large common areas,
including a living room surrounded on almost all sides by retractable walls of glass that
offer views of the ocean. In fact, these walls of glass are a theme throughout the house to allow
for that ideal indoor-outdoor flow. You'll even find them in the home gym, which has an airy feel
and light wood-paneled ceilings. Aside from that fully equipped gym, the main floor also has that
living room or great room, which combines with another den, dining area and the gourmet kitchen.
The roomy dining area opens directly to the wraparound deck, which also offers space to eat
al fresco, as well as a fire pit. The luxury master suite is complete with a fireplace,
sitting area, double spa-like bathrooms and a walk-in closet. Two other bedrooms are ensuite,
and the fourth bedroom has its very own private entrance, bath and kitchen. Elsewhere, there's
also a media room, while the amenities continue outside. Exterior features of Kim's new crib
include tennis courts, a cabana with a fireplace, and of course, a gorgeous swimming pool and spa.
The decks and terraces on the property are also perfect to unwind and soak in Malibu's famous
sunset views. In terms of the surrounding neighborhood nearby, you'll find the Malibu
Riding & Tennis Club, the famed Paradise Cove Beach Cafe, as well as the Malibu Country Mart,
just a short drive down the coast. While Kim will likely spend a lot of time at her new beachside
Malibu getaway, her main residence, where she lives with her children, continues to be the
modern mansion in Hidden Hills. During her time married to Kanye, the ex-couple revamped the once
traditional mansion into a nearly all-white and minimalistic home, which Kanye once called a
futuristic Belgian monastery. While there have been some changes since Kanye moved out a while
back, a recent interview Kim had with Vogue shows that the same neutral aesthetic is largely
unchanged. Since they completely overhauled their 15,667 square foot mega mansion, it became one of
the most unique celebrity homes we've seen. I certainly wouldn't describe the place as warm
and inviting. There are reportedly 8 beds, 10 baths, and 8 fireplaces throughout. The home
is an excessively open concept, with nearly no doors to be found anywhere. Meanwhile, Kim's
dining room is more suitable for entertaining guests, fitted with an entirely cream color
scheme that runs across the walls, flooring, and the round table and chairs. Over in the family
kitchen, there's a sprawling prep island with a cream color scheme that opens up to a living area
with a giant curved sectional couch. Kim's master bedroom boasts an all beige theme with giant bed
and room for all four of her kids to come and snuggle, while there's also a 130 inch tv that
comes out from the floorboards. The room flows right into the massive master bath with full
walls of glass, which further offer a full view of the greenery in the yard, giving the feel of a
tropical jungle. The tub was custom designed and big enough to fit a whole family, while the other
end of the sprawling space boasts a separate glass-walled shower. Kim's children's rooms are
more personable than the other spaces in the house, as she allows them to have whatever decoration
they see fit. Outside the house, on 3.5 acres, there were originally two swimming pools, two spas,
and their own vineyard. However, Kim and Kanye opted to trade those two pools in and minimize
this space with just one massive swimming pool. I mean, that part makes sense because who would
need two pools? Anyways, the basketball court is loved by Kim's children, and the ground of the
court is built in a spongy material, while the color scheme is all black, like Kim's gym equipment.
In fact, you can see her fully equipped gym in the background, which is attached to the basketball
court. She reportedly also has plans to add multiple structures, including an underground vault,
subterranean parking with an attached wellness center, and a detached guardhouse. Also, earlier
in 2022, Kim paid 6.3 million dollars on the fixer upper home directly next door to her main place.
Since it's between her main home and a random house Kanye bought, it was likely a purchase
to either expand her Hidden Hills compound, or to serve as a buffer between her and her ex.
Of course, considering the outdated state of the 4,239 square foot home, Kim certainly isn't living
in it right now. It also appears that to make room for her new Malibu purchase, Kim is cleaning up
her real estate portfolio a bit. In early September 2022, she placed a spare ranch house near her
Hidden Hills abode on the market for 5.3 million dollars. Kim bought this modest 1950s built
property for 1.6 million back in 2019, and it seems that she hasn't touched the place much
during her ownership. The approximately 1.5 acre property includes a main home with 4 beds, 4 baths,
and about 4,000 square feet of space, all across one floor, and across a small street is the
remainder of the property. It's here you'll find the equestrian amenities like a forestall barn,
corral, and storage space. While there aren't many updated photos of the home's interiors,
some older materials show a center island kitchen, and spaces such as a family room with
high and vaulted wood-beamed ceiling and two-way, double-height brick fireplace.
Other bonuses include an office, dining room, and a master suite with fireplace and separate
sitting space, while the yard has a lagoon-style pool and spa with water feature. Just before
putting that place on the market, also in early September 2022, Kim also listed her quote-unquote
brutalist-inspired condo in Calabasas, California, which you might have seen on Keeping Up With The
Kardashians in a handful of episodes. She used this place as an office for Kim Kardashian,
West Beauty, and Skims. The eye-catching condo is heavily minimalistic, much like the design
of Kim's main mansion, and she's asking 3.5 million dollars for it. Back in 2017,
Kim bought it for $1.6 million and had it remodeled from top to bottom by architect
Vincent Van Duysen, the same guy who did the Hidden Hills house. Now, the home, if you want
to call it that, appears as a monastery-style flat, and offers 2,260 square feet, along with
three beds and four baths. This condo is full of sand-colored rooms and features, oak flooring,
plaster walls, ceilings, and cabinets, and custom furnishings, fixtures, and more.
This space includes a semi-private elevator with private foyer, open plan great room,
upscale kitchen with designer appliances, and a covered terrace with outdoor living space.
The master suite here also has 5-star additions like a Geo Soho tub, and a Toto toilet.
We'll just have to see if Kim Kardashian offloads these two very different properties
anytime soon, but regardless, she's already replenished her real estate portfolio with
her extravagant new Malibu estate. But that's gonna bring this house tour to an end. Let me
know what you thought of Kim's new Malibu home, and if you think she's gonna custom decorate it
like her other properties. Thanks for tuning in, hit that subscribe button if you haven't,
