ECUADOR HAS A NEW PRESIDENT! (WILL EXPATS BE AFFECTED?)

Today, May 24, 2021 was Ecuador's presidential inauguration in Quito. Guillermo Lasso was sworn in as Ecuador's 47th president.

We are a non-political channel, so we don't talk about these topics much. However, a new president is highly relevant to us and our audience, and the main news outlets didn't discuss it in English, so we wanted to share the high level overview of the main talking points, as well as how we think the new president will impact expats.
