Sandy's Story - Escaping abuse to safety and life restoration
Sandy had been running away from trauma and abuse all her life. From running away from home at 15 due to her parents' abuse and alcoholism to enduring abuse again later at the hands of her spouse. She finally reached the point where she and her son had to escape . . . Watch Sandy's Story Here
"I describe Hope Gardens as a spiritual hospital; it's a place where broken people can find rest and healing. That is what happened to me."
Sandy immediately found refuge at the Hope Gardens. She recently graduated from Hope Gardens and joined an apprenticeship at Sequoia Lodge. Her job is to assist the senior case manager with anything they need. This work has inspired her to pursue her GED and continue her schooling to become a counselor to help women like her.
To help more women like Sandy seeking a safe place, please consider making a donation. Your gift not only restores and rebuilds faith, but it can also help strengthen a lifetime relationship with God.
