After many suggestion from viewers about the small foot print of this vessel, I decided to try out for a larger foot, made of Olive, and I liked the results, which stuck, with epoxy! I also unbox a present sent to me from Israel!
Feel free to share and recommend this video to your friends and family, a thumbs up would be appreciated, and if this is your first time to my channel, you are more then welcome to subscribe!
Hello guys, welcome back to my shop. So, you can see a lot of stuff here around me,
and what we're going to do in this video are two things. One, this is the piece that I've
turned in my last video. As you can see, I've gotten a lot of complaints in Facebook and
in comments that the base is way too small for this kind of piece. Although it is balanced
on both axes as far as the weight goes, still any small movement or touch can tip it over.
So, what I thought I'll do in this week's video is use this small cut of limb of olive,
and I would like to try and prepare a suitable wider base for this piece. So, we'll see how
that works out. That is one thing that we're going to do in this video, and as a dessert
at the end of the video, I will unbox this little present that I've got from a friend in Israel,
who sent me a care package of different glues. We'll go over those at the end of the video. So,
without further ado, we're going to chuck this piece onto the lathe and prepare a base for this
piece, and see how it goes.
Ain't got nothing that's got something to do, and how your love, your pain, how your sorrow,
You're gonna be, you're gonna be fine either way. Good to you. At this point, our vessel is drying,
and I hope it will be ready soon, in a few minutes. So, let's fill up the time a little
bit. A good friend of mine, and a subscriber of the channel by the name of Dror Sofer from Israel,
sent me this care package. Now, he sent me all this stuff as a thank you for the content that
I've been making, and just for me to have, if you don't mind for a second, I'll switch
back into the ancient tongue, and thank him in our own language.
Okay, so, what we have here? We have Gorilla Tape, this is a black Gorilla Tape,
I think it's the equivalent of duct tape. We have some Gorilla Super Glue gel, that's one super glue,
10 seconds, 15 grams bottle. There's this here, original Gorilla Glue bonds virtually
everything. It says wood, stone, metal, ceramic, foam, glass, and more.
This is the expanding foam, the expanding glue.
We've got one big bottle of wood glue. This would come really, really handy,
since I am planning on doing some segmenting work very soon. There we go. We have some
epoxy, five-minute epoxy, permanent, strong, durable, bonds metal, ceramic, glass, plastic,
wood, and more, in a double syringe. And there's also a small wooden applicator, that's really nice.
There's one silicon-looking tube that says Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Edition.
This goes for, well, there's a lot of things here, molding wood, masonry, granite, decks, drywall,
subfloor mirrors, and such. Grabs in 30 seconds, all-weather, paintable, and made in the USA.
And there's also a small bag of applicators, and a bag of rubber bands, looks like large
rubber bands. This would also come in handy in those segmenting work I'm talking about.
And there's also a small envelope, maybe it's cash. No, it's not cash, it's actually
some stickers. Gorilla Glue. Gorilla for the toughest jobs on planet Earth. Again, a really,
really large, huge thank you to Drovo Sofer for sending me all this stuff. Everything is going to
be used, and it's, as you know, as woodworkers, glue is one of the fundamentals of the materials
that we're working with. Very important. So I'm really happy about all this bounty that I've
received. Thank you again, Drovo. Thank you.
I want to thank you for joining me in this follow-up,
and I hope to see you back in my shop really soon.
