Happy Valentine's Day everyone. Today I have a great Valentine's Day gift idea. So let's get started. What you'll need for this project is spray paint, a clear coat, scrap papers, a hot glue gun, ribbons and pom poms or whatever you want to use to decorate your jar, candy hearts, a mason jar, and a sticker back paper. First take your pen and you're going to draw a heart on the sticker back paper. Then you're going to cut the heart out and it doesn't have to be perfect on the line. And then you're going to peel back the sticky paper and you're going to put it on top of your mason jar. Next you're going to take the lid off of the jar and you're going to take some of the excess sticky paper and you're going to want to wrap it around the top of the jar. Now take your jar and bring it outside and put it in an old box. Take your spray paint and test it on the box first to make sure it has a nice even stream. Then spray your entire mason jar. It dries pretty quickly and after it's dry you're going to then take the clear coat spray and you're going to spray the entire mason jar to make sure the paint stays on securely. Next you're going to separate the lid and you're going to decide what do you want the top of your lid to be covered with from your scrapbook paper and I chose kind of a springtime stripes. And then you're going to trace that and you're going to cut it out. Now you're going to take your mason jar and you're going to remove the sticker paper on the top and the heart. And I almost forgot to put the glue on the back of the scrapbook paper and the lid so it's secure. Now it's time to fill your jar with candy hearts. Next you're going to take a piece of ribbon and I took a velvet pink ribbon and I'm going to hot glue it around the top of the lid. Now you could stop here but I decided I wanted to add pom-poms all the way around the top of the lid also. And because the little lid insert doesn't stay securely in there I hot glued it in. And the last thing I did was added a tag. I hope you guys love this project. It was super fun making it and be sure to watch some of my other Valentine's DIYs. And until next time, bye!
