Garden Ornament Facelift Part 2: Painting My Mushrooms. This was such a fun project and so worthwhile doing. My wooden mushrooms were looking so faded and dull, and just painting the stems, wood staining the mushroom tops and finishing them up with a coat of clear varnish has truly made them look as good as new, as well as extending their lifetime. Such a worthwhile project, especially when it’s raining and cold and you just want to get started on some gardening projects but it’s too wet to get outside. I hope this has given you some inspiration.
