Sustainability in aviation – the past, the present, the future for Etihad

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. Welcome on board the Etihad sustainable flight from London to Abu Dhabi. I'm super proud to be one of the green ambassadors on today's flight. We are a volunteer group of pilots and cabin crew with a vested interest in sustainability. We work to identify processes and procedures on board that can be made more sustainable. Industry partnerships and relationships are critical to sustainable aerospace. It's in that spirit that we're grateful to work side by side with Etihad and we appreciate Etihad's leadership and continued focus on sustainable aviation. I wish this would become the new normal and I wish everybody would follow the direction Etihad is taking in sustainable flight.
