For years the Chinese communist regime has been buying up salt flats and thousands of acres in the Andean highlands to extract lithium, while drawing up an ambitious roadmap for its unscrupulous geopolitical purposes
With its built-in road commercial advancement strategy, the Chinese Communist regime has
succeeded in installing a mining business in South America. South America is home to Atacama Puna,
an arid region in the northwest of the Andes. There, between Argentina and Chile,
lie some of the world's largest reserves of the scarce and non-renewable lithium.
First, the Chinese regime managed to penetrate privately into emerging countries such as
Argentina, tempting local citizens with huge investments in projects such as lithium mining.
Thus, for years, the CCP has been buying salt flats from native peoples and thousands of acres
from mining landowners drowned by the lack of support from their national economy.
All while drawing the ambitious roadmap for its unscrupulous purposes.
Why is this happening? There is, one, a lack of regulations to nationalize lithium as in Chile,
two, a lack of measures to regulate foreign investment access, and three,
high levels of corruption. All this favors the purchase of land and natural reserves,
and the installation of megaventures, chemical manufacturing plants, and private airstrips in
the middle of the Puna. Of course, everything is done in secret. This is how the CCP operates.
How did it keep these mega enterprises secret? In general, access by vehicle to the Andean
Puna is not very easy. It is a region with a low concentration of inhabitants.
The terrain is arid and sandy, and the roads are poorly marked.
The most striking thing is that in satellite applications, these key areas are pixelated
or painted with color, and you cannot see what is underneath. The obvious question is,
what does it have to hide? Part of the CCP's game is to engage in political maneuvering
through economic pressure. In countries with little regulation and high levels of corruption,
the economic factor means that neither the risk to national sovereignty nor the environmental risk is
considered when it comes to receiving investments. The CCP knows how to take advantage of these gaps
to get control of basic inputs of the technological era such as lithium.
Having control favors its totalitarian communist system of political governance.
Why? Simple. It makes everyone depend on it. How does it do this? In the case of lithium,
it arms companies like GongFundLithium, buys the sources of the precious and scarce resource,
and monopolizes the whole process. Thus, everyone depends on it. Everything is in the hands of the
company and through it the CCP. The purchase of salt flats, the assembly of the extraction plants,
the transport chain, the signing of agreements, and product supply contracts with companies such
as Tesla. And of course, it can also fix prices and withhold supply if necessary.
According to a U.S. Department of Defense report on the CCP, in 2021, the regime significantly
increased its engagement with Latin American countries and it began prioritizing digital
infrastructure and sustainable energy opportunities. Why is this data worth saving?
Because it is no coincidence that the CCP is betting heavily on Latin America in these two
areas. Digital infrastructure uses lithium batteries and so-called sustainable energy
uses devices with lithium batteries. What is lithium used for in these areas? The batteries
that power technological devices are lithium, including those that use sustainable energy.
For example, smartphones use them so that they can be mobile. Solar panels,
which are considered sustainable energy, use lithium batteries. Electric cars also
use lithium batteries. In fact, sustainable energy is based on the CCP's plundering of lithium.
