About explores abandoned places and abandoned houses. Most of our explores are historic locations with interesting history. As well as exploring abandoned historic locations, we also investigate haunted and paranormal places! A lot of the time we have to travel through the wilderness to get to some of the historic abandoned locations. We love being in nature and love to explore
What's up guys? It's been about a month since I've made a video. A lot of times when you go out,
you don't always find stuff, but we did find something. Well, Louis found something. This
really cool old house. You want to give us a little rundown on this place here? Yeah, absolutely. So
we're in the town of Wildwood and this entire area around here has been known to be old Florida for
a very long time. We got a lot of historical neighborhoods around here. This house goes
back to the late 1800s. The previous people that used to live here were here, I'd say about as
recently as about four or five years ago. It's now been abandoned. The gentleman that owns the
property has given us permission to be here to explore this place today. You know, it's nice to
explore these historical properties because you just don't know when they're going to be taken
down. It looks really cool from the outside. It's still the old sheet metal roof and everything.
All right, I'm excited. Let's go in.
So we're going to walk around through the back. Some beautiful vintage. That's their
old little shed over there. Is that a well house? No, it's just a shed. Wow, pretty big family
probably lived here, huh? Oh yeah. Oh look, you can see the fireplace poking out of the side.
So this must have been an add-on. I bet you that was originally built first and then they added
that on because look at the fireplace how it's it's like ah but we need to make it the wall right
here but the fireplace is in the way so they just built around it. Good observation. All right,
I'm ready to go in. You ready to go in? After you. Boy, thank you, sir. Yeah, it's definitely
updated. Well, we got our lunch. So they just kind of left everything behind here. Left everything
it looks like to me. It does smell pretty moldy in here. Let's see. Olive oil. Let's go this way.
All right. Oh, let's see how old these newspapers are. Probably not very old. Nah, 2016.
That seems about right. They were here about four or five years ago.
Oh, that's, what are they, sealed this off? Looks like it to me.
Does smell really moldy in here. This is the upstairs. It's a little bit better up here.
Doesn't smell as bad. It's not that really that humid yet either. But you could tell that
all it takes is a little bit of TLC and this place could be somebody else's home.
You know, it's unfortunate how these places are left abandoned because,
you know, somebody who had his money, they could fix this place up and make it their home. And
this place, I guarantee you would be standing here another 60,
78 years because they just don't build them like they used to.
Oh, look at this old trunk. Clothes and everything. Yeah, man. I wonder why they
just left like that. I mean, a lot of these old abandoned homesteads that I go into
are a lot like this where everything's been left. What's this? Like an old heater?
I don't know what that is. Looks like some kind of a light fluorescent.
Oh, look, there's a picture of a Florida Seminole Indian made. Wow, that's cool.
There's the window. Oh yeah, look, it's pretty rotted out here. That's really cool. I never
even saw that there. I'm glad you pointed that out. What do we got in here? Yeah,
you can see cracks. They must have been into Indians. Look, there's a set of moccasins right
here. Wow. This place has been around for a long time. It's very possible that maybe
natives were here at one time, you know, acting as a housemaid or a cook or a worker.
Yeah, anything in here? That's crazy. There's just clothes. They left all their clothes and
everything behind. Nice clothes, too. Look, Christian Dior. Let's see. Oh, wow. This is
the attic. Yeah, this is just a little storage space here. I would turn this into like a chill
out spot. These old houses are cool, man. I know. I like how they like a lot of these old
houses. Like they have all like little secret little compartments in a lot of them. You know
what I mean? Like up here you could just you can make a little hangout spot. You see the wood
that they used back in the day. I mean, that's some quality wood right there. That's probably
why these houses stood the test of time because they use the best of the best of the materials,
you know, and that's why they stand for over 100 years. I like it. I would live here. It's
the way it was. Oh, yeah. Yeah, the outside looks phenomenal, doesn't it? Yeah, I love it.
This might be the one that we saw. Oh, yeah, it is. It is for sure. See? Oh, yeah. This is a this
is an addition. Yeah, because look, you can see all in here. This whole area that we're sitting in
had to have been after the fact, especially since we've seen how it bumped out over there.
Pretty cool. Did we go in here? Oh, yeah, we did go in here. I'm tripping. I am tripping.
Never mind. Yeah, this is the stinky room. I'm good at that. Oh, look at this rattlesnake skin.
Wow. There's a whole back area here that we're going to try to explore. And it looks like there's
some stuff back here. There's some more remains back here. Looks like we have an old work set up
here. Oh, look at the stone foundation on that. Isn't that beautiful? That's a big building.
Big shed. Let's see if we can get in there. Is there a better way? No, we're not going to be
able to get in. Let's try the other side over here. Oh, look, an old concrete mixer. Yep.
There's a door over there. Oh, you smell that jasmine? I smell jasmine somewhere.
Oh, they got a lock on it. My pants are... look at...
stickers everywhere. Damn hitchhikers. We should come back here at night since we've
got permission to be here. Do a scary... yeah, do a scary video. We'll do like a part two.
So that place is pretty cool. So much history there. You know, you can
walk around the property and you can only imagine all the years and all the memories.
We are now on our way to our next location. Some more old homes from a long time ago in the past.
We're following this train that just disappeared in the woods. All right,
we're at our second location. Place right here. It's really overgrown bad.
Yeah, we don't want none of these guys. And be careful because there's like a well.
Whoa, look at him. He's pissed. Oh yeah, he's a big one. Dude,
there's a big ******* spider right above you. Yeah, they're everywhere.
Watch where you're stepping to. There's a lot of remains here. Yeah, you never know what's lurking
underneath all this stuff. This is the true old Florida right here. Yeah, you gotta be really
careful when you're going in here because as you can tell, the place is rotted out. Yeah,
looks pretty bad. Be really careful. You can smell it. In we go. Here, I got a flashlight here. I don't
know. This is not too bad.
Oh, there's another fireplace on this side. Just looking for
creatures that are alive. Might be pissed off that we're here. Wow, it's really thrashed in there.
Oh, dude, look at these old school headphones whenever they were cooking last year. A lot
birds nests. Let's see if we can find anything that dates this place like a newspaper or something.
Maybe we'll find something. Wow, big front porch. Lots of that. No, too bad we couldn't get out
through here. So long as that guy stays where he's at, everything will be just fine. All right,
very nice. Very nice. All right, check out this tree over here. Watch out for that guy.
This is a cool tree, right? Yeah, this is a turpentine. Cat face tree. Cat face tree.
Long leaf pine. You can see the rails are still intact there and you can see the markings where
they scraped it for the face where the sap was extracted from and that nail down there is where
the hurdy cup would have been hanging from. Yeah, see the nail right there? There would be a cup
there and all this right here. You can even see some of the some of the resin, the resin right
there. Yeah, if you look at the rails, there's some resin dried up where you can see where it
was directed down into the hurdy cup. Yeah. And this was probably cut, I don't know what, like
100 years ago? More than 100. I would say over 100 years ago, probably in the early 1900s.
My wild guess would be probably maybe 1910 around that time. So just wanted to leave that with you
for the end of the video. Cool little tree. So yeah, this was an old turpentine camp. This entire
area here was a working turpentine camp. In fact, my backyard, there was still remains from the
turpentine industry that took place here long ago. It was definitely a fun day. The first house,
I think, was my favorite. That one was really cool. That's gonna do it for the rest of this
trip. I want to thank everyone for coming along on our adventure. I want to thank Lewis. And if
