VLOGMAS IN NEW YORK DAY 1 🎄🎁 ☃️

Good morning! Happy Vlogmas Day 1! 🎵 Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, that leaves a... 🎵 Good morning, everybody! Like I said, it's Vlogmas Day 1. If you guys don't know, I did this last year. I did Vlogmas in New York, where I vlogged 14 days in a row, uploaded them every day on my YouTube channel for you guys. I've done Vlogmas in the past, where I do every day until Christmas, and honestly, I just got so burnt out. And when I go home to Florida for Christmas, I'll probably still vlog, but just, like, not as much. And I want to enjoy my time with family, so I'm gonna be here for the first half of December, so I thought, this is what I thought last year. Let me vlog the two weeks that I'm in New York in December. So, that's what I did last year, and it went off without a hitch. You guys loved it. I had so much fun. My friend Gabby Whiten made my intro last year, and so she kind of spruced it up a little bit. We did this year. I changed my hair to make it shorter, blonder, all the things. And I'm just so happy. It puts me in the most festive mood. I'm more inspired to go do, you know, Christmas-y things here in the city. I have some fun things planned. And it's just vlogging my everyday life. Not every day is gonna be, like, Christmas spectacular. It's just vlogging every day, rather than, like, a week in my life and uploading it later. So, subscribe if you guys haven't already. This is episode 1, vlog number 1. Today's Thursday, December 1st. Some people vlog on November 30th and then post on the 1st, but let's do it on December 1st, you know? So, I'm just... I'm very thankful. I've had a nice, leisurely morning to myself. I had someone come pick up clothing donations this morning. I cleaned out my closet. I'm, like, constantly cleaning out my closet. Oh, this feels so good. These are the Naturally Serious Cold Press Peel Pads. I have used these forever. I'm just doing, like, a simple skincare routine because I've been really enjoying going for walks, which is funny. Of course, now I'm into going for walks as it gets colder outside, but I want to walk towards the water to Chelsea Market. And I really want to go to Anthropologie. I was wanting to go to Anthropologie a couple days ago because they have really nice Christmas candles and they have some nice ornaments, too. But I was like, let me wait until Vlogmas Day 1. And I also... There's a Starbucks Reserve over there, so it's, like, a fancy Starbucks. And I really want to try the Chestnut Praline Latte. So I'm hoping I'll have time for all of this. Let's do some eye cream while we're at it. I'm a big Sunday Riley girl these days. So, yeah, I'm going to shower later because we have an event tonight. So, yeah, that's that. Gonna do that. So I want to go for a walk. I want to take you guys along with me, see some festive things. And then I have a couple meetings when I get back. I have, like, a Zoom with my accountant. Nothing super exciting, but things that you have to do. This is the Tatcha Lip Mask, and it's sincerely amazing. It's very sticky, though, so I always use a lip brush because I hate when my hands are all sticky. And then tonight we have an event that I'm very excited about. I'm very thankful to get invited to some really cool events here in the city, but this one I'm particularly excited about, and you guys will understand why. They're having an event tonight for Gossip Girl Season 2. Obviously the revival, but, like, I'm so excited. I remember this event happened last year, and I wasn't invited. I was like, oh, that would be so cool. And then this year I got invited. Me, Brooke, and Katie are all going. I'm really excited. I picked out a very, like, chic, fun Gossip Girl fit. I am assuming the cast is going to be there. It's at this cool hotel in Brooklyn. So we have, like, a fun day ahead. As you guys saw, I did my advent calendar of the day. I got that little candle advent calendar. I'll show you guys again if you didn't catch it. I got this advent calendar from the brand Forever Mood. And so day one was State of Pine. And, I mean, I'm assuming this is just... I mean, hopefully I'll finish it today. I'm going to have to blow it out here in a second. But, yeah, big candle gal. Got my Yulog going, of course. I don't know if I show... Yes, I think I did show it in one vlog, but I got this lamp that I'm obsessed with. I'm waiting on the light bulb. I think it's coming today in the mail. I got, like, a color light bulb so I can change the colors with the remote, like I have in my bedroom. But I really like it. The only thing that's annoying is this in front of the mirror. But when Christmas is over, when I put down the tree, I'm... Officially, I'm putting this mirror in the corner and the table is just going to be there. I like the table there better. It's just more functional. I'm a lot happier with it. That's the end of that. So once Christmas is over, this mirror will be over there and then this won't be as weird in front of the mirror. But I've been, like, trying to take mirror selfies. I'm like, mm, okay. Robe is from the brand Too Collective. It's my friend Alexis Barber's brand. It's so cool. There's actually a little message on the inside of the sleeve here. You're too smart to not love yourself. So cute. I'm just getting this out of the way because I feel like throughout Vlogmas, you guys are going to ask. My slippers also are from the brand MOU. Kelly got them for me for my birthday and I love them. I've worn them every day. It's clean the sheets day so I've got those in right now. Um, what else? Oh, I just finally pulled out my diffuser again and right before bed, I diffused lavender essential oil. I slept amazing last night. I've just been having trouble sleeping. I haven't been having trouble falling asleep really. It's just like staying asleep. I feel like I keep waking up in the middle of the night. I took melatonin, which I haven't done in a while and I burned this diffuser or whatever. Incredible. So, maybe it's that. And my hatch alarm, I play music at night so it's a whole thing. Anyways, oh, I also got this mirror. If you guys didn't know, I love mirrors. I don't care how many I have in my apartment. Like, I really feel like they open up a space and I like that it's right next to my closet so if I'm getting dressed in here, I can be like, what am I wearing? So, yeah. Love this rounded arch. I believe it's from West Elm. I do believe. Okay, so we need to get dressed. I think it's like not even 40 degrees right now. I plan on bringing gloves and hand warmers just because I'm walking to the west side. I mean, I live on the west side but I'm like walking even more west by the water and when you're by the water, I feel like it gets a little bit colder because it's breezier and I just don't want cold anything. So, I need to get, I love the Uniqlo. I need to grab it. The Uniqlo Heat Tech long sleeve shirts are unreal. This is it right here. It just looks like a normal long sleeve but it's like got warmer material in there so this is the Heat Tech and they have like warm, warmer, and warmest so I picked the warmest one. So, you definitely can sweat in it if it's not cold but it's cold so I'm going to layer with this. I've learned layering is key. So, I just like haven't been into wearing sweaters as much. I'm more into like layered, I don't know. What I was going to say is I need to get the Uniqlo leggings. Apparently, they have Heat Tech leggings? So, I need to get that. Also, can we talk about how I'm wearing an I Heart New York shirt on Vlogmas in New York day one? Leggings, I don't, I used to have like fleece line leggings but I just don't at the moment so we're just going to do a pair of leggings. Okay, so we have the shirt on. I really think I need to do another layer so I'm going to wear this hoodie from Aritzia. Okay, I just got this jacket from Nasty Gal on a Black Friday sale. I'll link it below. I just, I've always wanted a green puffer and I was like, is green going to go out of style? And it just like hasn't yet so I'm going to roll with it. I also love it. Look at these long like sleeves that are under it. I mean, go off Nasty Gal, truly. I also, this might be getting to be too much, I don't know. I really want to wear my Acne Studios scarf. It makes me so happy. I got it last winter and no regrets there except scarf with hoodie is tough. The hoodie is what's concerning me. Okay. And then I was also, I'm a mess. I want to wear a hat. Okay, the hoodie or the scarf is going to have to go. I have this, which is kind of a vibe or like, you know, pinnacle of winter like top hat or not top hat but like beanie with the palm which is also cute because it ties in this. Okay, but I have to make a decision. I feel like probably no scarf, right? Like the scarf with the hoodie because I feel like I need something under my jacket. Thank you all for coming along this journey. And then I feel like I want to wear the hat. Cool girl vibes. All my guy friends always think this is a John Deere hat but it's a Boys Lie hat. I'm like, no, actually it says Boys Lie, huh? What do we think? I don't know. Maybe I could add the scarf now just for fashion but I'm also going for a walk. Okay, I will figure this out and get back to you guys. This is getting too long. Okay, I took the hoodie off but I kept the scarf and the hat. I realized I have a balcony which I'm very grateful for. So I need to step outside and see how I feel. Okay, I'm definitely warm enough. I'm definitely warm enough. I do not need the hoodie. I would probably sweat. So yay. Now we just got to get some socks and shoes and we'll be on the road. All right, here is the final look for our festive walk. I think it's quite festive. You guys know everything's from up here. Got my Chanel bag as a crossbody. Leggings are from the brand Story. Shoes are Vejas. And then I just have some crew socks from Amazon. Let's go for a walk. It's one of the things I get back. I always come outside to cool off and I'm definitely cooling off now. Okay, they don't have like the typical drinks there. They have like special drinks. So I got the peppermint oat milk mocha. Wow, tastes like December. Okay, we are... I am a liqueur. It could be freezing cold and I'm still holding like a cold sparkling drink of some sort. We are going to stop by Ryan's apartment. He's going out of town for the weekend. So I want to go say goodbye to him because I'm just cheesy like that. Let's do it. Okay, I just said goodbye to Ryan and I was going to have him be in the clip and he came down just quickly from work and wasn't wearing his Santa hat and he wouldn't let me vlog him because of that. So he said hello. He sends his regards. Okay, now heading back to my apartment because I have that call like I told you guys about with my accountant. New York sounds for you. But if I have time, depending on what time it is when I pass it on my way back, this new florist just opened up the most beautiful flowers and I kind of want to get a little bouquet for my apartment. I haven't had flowers in my apartment in minutes because I've been traveling but I'll be here for the next like three weeks. So I could get some flowers. We're back. I'm like hot now. The hot to cold, hot to cold thing. It's always tough. Like you're bundled up and then you go inside and you're hot. So glad I didn't wear the hoodie. Honestly, I just wish I had another pair of leggings on. I would've been perfect. I literally got like a mini Starbucks drink so I drank on the way back but it was delicious. If you ever come to New York, highly recommend checking out the Starbucks Reserve. It's more of an experience if you like eat there or drink there. They give it to you in like a mug and they have beautiful croissants and food in general. I got one thing at Anthropologie. I was gonna get a candle but the one I really liked was super heavy and I was like I might wanna walk a little bit more. I got this mug. I have no business getting anymore mugs but I literally couldn't stop staring at it. It's so cute. It's this double walled mug and it has like upside down Christmas tree. It's very, I'm sure this is like eight ounces of coffee or hot chocolate or like tea at night. I just think it's so cute with the star. I will link this below. I'm obsessed. This is so cute. Also great if you're doing like Secret Santa, White Elephant. I feel like this would be perfect. So I'm gonna wash this. I have to remember not to put this in the dishwasher because I know it won't be good. You're supposed to hand wash this only. I'm gonna make a little lunch. I've got an appetite going. I think I'm gonna do my typical cauliflower things with turkey. I literally just put these in the toaster and put turkey in between and it's so good. If I wasn't as lazy I'd also add like avocado, tomato, like you can make it like a BLT situation and add like lettuce, bacon, like a club. I guess a club, not a BLT. But I'm not super hungry so I'm gonna do this now. Home now and I'm about to hop on a call with my let's do this. Okay, been all over the place today but now I'm going to go get a blowout just because I didn't realize the event starts two hours earlier than I thought. So I just body showered. I'm just gonna go run and get a blowout. Here's my little outfit. I'm just wearing like a sweat set. This trench coat is from NAKD. I got so much stuff from them for Black Friday including this trench coat. Let's go get a blowout and then we'll get ready and then we'll go. I tried a new place for my blowout today and they did a really good job and they used really nice products so I just love a blowout. I literally have 30 minutes to get ready. We got this. Okay. It's time to get ready. I have 20 minutes. I just got these dry bar. They're called the Tiny Tamers but I use these when I do my makeup and stuff. I never open anything gracefully. I'm like Oh my god. I was like what is that in the background? It's the dress I'm wearing tonight but it looks like there's like a phantom behind me. Oh my gosh. I'm just like loving my hair. I don't know why I've been getting it super straight. I mean I do like that look but I think the little flip is so me. You know? It just gives off Dani energy. Alright. We're gonna use these to pull my hair back because it like doesn't leave a crease in your hair. I feel like I'm not hydrated enough today. I'm doing a workout class tomorrow at Aloe with Audrey, Lauren, and Bridget. I'm kind of nervous about it. Workout classes in general stress me out but they never used to but now they do for some reason. So I want to be hydrated tomorrow but I think I'm gonna include an everyday makeup routine in like my next few vlogs. I think I'm gonna include it on Saturday's vlog to be specific because Saturday is the SEC championship Georgia game so I will be watching that with friends and doing like bottomless brunch before. So I feel like I'll need some like content in the morning, you know? So I'll probably do a makeup routine that day. I'm so excited so there's a screening of I'm assuming episode one of the new Gossip Girl and then we're going to Club Constance for the after party. I'm just like living for the name like I've watched Gossip Girl for years and I did watch the first season of this reboot so I'm very excited needless to say. Also for self tan I've been using the Isle of Paradise dark tanning mousse. It's really nice. I really like it a lot. I'm just trying to match my face to my neck but yeah. Alright I'm gonna listen to some Christmas music to get in a... I guess it's not a holiday party but I just want to get in a jolly spirit cause it's vlogmas you know? I'll check back in with you guys in a little bit. Okay makeup is done. I just put some lip balm on. I'm gonna do some lips in a bit. I have to leave in 10 minutes so yay. We're gonna get dressed. This robe is from Brooklyn by the way. I just got this dress from the brand Hutch Design. It's a one shoulder beautiful black dress and it's like feathers. I'm obsessed. I'm trying to decide though if I want to wear it with heels or tall black boots cause I feel like either one is a Gossip Girl vibe because the new season of Gossip Girl I feel like they would totally wear that dress with like these black tall boots but then also like preppy Gossip Girl vibes would be these shoes which is so fun. But like sometimes I don't love black and pink. I don't know. But I love these shoes. I need to get more fun shoes like this. So I'm just gonna put the dress on and we're gonna see. Oh my gosh I can't decide. So I have the black boots and then I'm also trying on these like I forgot I had them like platform silver shoes. I feel like it might be the vibe honestly. It's like more feminine you know. Okay I'm feeling really good about this fit. I feel so like feminine. Earrings are from Free People. Look how cute they are. I don't usually wear silver so this is fun for me. Bag is Zara. Dress is Hutch Design. I keep tripping on this rug. Shoes are Zara as well. They're platform so they're very comfortable. Obviously gonna be throwing over a coat but I'm gonna be late if I don't leave right this minute. So let's go. I'm so excited. This is my first Gossip Girl event. Let's go to Club Constance baby. Oh my gosh. Here we are. Hello lighting. We're all in all black. We're never all coordinated actually. Usually it's like two of us are coordinated. We actually all look good together. And we're very on time. We're very punctual. Oh my gosh. Lighting her. We are back all before 9pm. That is a success in my books. I am so happy because the screening started at 6. So you know it ended at a reasonable time. There was an after party after. We didn't stay too long. But the screening was so good. The show is so good. You can tell they have a bigger budget for this season. It's Gossip Girl season 2 on HBO Max. So good. There's like a debutante scene and then they show like a trailer for everything else and like it looks like there's a Met Gala moment. I don't know. I'm like obsessed and I'm so excited to watch more. They sent us home with two different goodie bags. So I was like I need to open up this one says Gossip Girl. I'm always curious. Cotton candy glitter bomb. Oh you put it in a beverage and it makes your beverage colorful. Oh key sunglasses. These look like a shape I like. Hold on. I still have my jacket on because I'm cold. Oh I like these. Hold on. Oh my gosh I'm obsessed. Goes with this jacket. Are these brown? They're brown lenses at least. I really like these. These will be worn very soon. YSL perfume. I'm not even going to try and say that. China glaze. Oh my gosh TBT to like OG YouTube. China glaze nail polishes. Very fun. Glow recipe niacinamide dew drops. I have these in my bathroom already so very happy I have a refill. That's so cool. Oh my gosh Ardell lashes. These are like some of the best lashes. Are these the wispies? I don't know but very excited. Oh my god a YSL velvet matte lip stain and a YSL perfume. Wow YSL and Gossip Girl. Who would have thought? Wow. Thank you Gossip Girl. That's exciting. And then we have Charles and Keith. I'm not sure what this is. Whoa. Oh my gosh this is a bag. Oh my god I think it's a bag. Jingle bells. Oh my gosh this is sick. Oh my god I love this. This goes with my outfit too. I really really really like the chain and then it's like this like teal color. Okay this looks so good with this jacket. I don't wear this color a lot but I guess it could be like a good pop of color. Wow. Thank you Gossip Girl. I didn't know I'd be leaving with goodie bags. I was excited to be there as it was. I got all cozied up. I'm sitting on the couch lit some candles to keep the vibes. I didn't take off my makeup yet because I still like how my makeup looks. And I'm also trying to decide if I want to self tan tonight. I kind of do. Kind of do. But also like that's like a whole thing and then I'm cold and you're just standing there trying to dry off. I'm in a TV mood. I'm going to go on HBO Max for one of their other shows because today is Thursday so another episode of Sex Lives of College Girls I hope came out today and I'm obsessed with this show. Like it's kind of exciting that they don't release it all at the same time because I get really excited each time. Oh the Gossip Girl thing is on the main page. I get excited each week for this. Oh yeah your next episode season 2 episode 5. I'm obsessed with this show. It's so good. If you guys don't watch this on HBO Max it's I love the college vibes. I love everything about it. Oh they're showing a Gossip Girl. Whatever. Anyways I'm going to watch this for a little bit. And I got an Amazon package so I'm going to open it. Finally got my light bulb for my lamp here. I have the red light on. I'll link this below. It's just, it's not bluetooth or anything it's just this remote. I had one with an app and it just got so confusing so I just like having a remote. But obviously it can do you know like a bright light which is very nice. At night when I'm watching TV I can have it on red. Red is supposed to relax you like I do in my bedroom. Or you can just turn it off. But I thought it would also be fun if I had friends over in like purple like party mode. Kind of a vibe. But yeah I'm really excited to finally have a light bulb in this lamp because I haven't this whole time while having it. It was a pointless lamp but it is pointless no longer and I'm so excited. Why is this not working? Okay there we go. Yay! I'm gonna finish watching this show. It's finally time to take off my makeup. Still haven't decided if I'm gonna self tan or not. I also realized I just kind of like never had real dinner. I like I didn't show it on camera but I had a couple ground turkey tacos. Yeah I guess I had that right before I left but I'm hungry again.
