Sustainable Undergarment + Loungewear Haul | Bra And Underwear Haul | Free People + Irie Collection

Hi guys, this is Megan with TheVlogWesternHomestead.com and today I have a very little clothing haul for you guys. I have been slowly collecting more sustainable clothing pieces and specifically more of my undergarments and loungewear and things that are on more sensitive parts of my body and for like long searches of time, like maybe at night, if I'm wearing like loungewear at night or something. And so I've been slowly converting over my closet to more organic and sustainably made clothes. So I will link some of my other sustainable clothing hauls down below. I think I have one other clothing haul and then also a review of some handmade bras. So actually the review is the same brand as some of these new bras that I got because I've just been liking that company so much that I actually went and purchased some more bras and some underwear for them. So I'm really excited to show you guys these few little pieces. There's only a few of them and it's all either bras or bralettes or underwear. So I hope you guys enjoy seeing these and I know a lot of you have really liked seeing where exactly to start getting more sustainable clothing pieces because it can be kind of confusing. There's a lot of companies that say they are, but they're not and I really love supporting small companies if I can. So it's the one company that made the majority of these things. I'm going to show you guys today. It's just a really small mama owned company which I really love. So I hope you guys enjoy this and maybe get some ideas of where to buy undergarment pieces if you're wear out and or you're wanting to convert your closet over to more sustainable pieces as well. So let's get right into this. The first piece I want to show you guys today is actually the one I'm wearing. This is just the classic bra from the Irie collection. So again, I will link my video where I did a review of the Irie collection bras. Long story short, I really like them. They're my favorite bras actually. And they're most of the ones that I have have so much coverage that I just wear them around the house as like lounge wear more because this has, this kind of has the coverage of like a sports top more than just like a regular bra. So I could wear this like out and not feel that uncomfortable, especially with my big pregnant belly. I don't really like things constricting it. So having like a really full coverage, comfortable top and then being able to let my belly be out, I have been absolutely loving. So this is just the classic cut bra. This was a fun one because they actually had like a mystery hues. So you could pick between warm and I forget what they called the other one. It was a more vibrant colors. So I picked just the warm option. And so it was a surprise what shade exactly were they gonna, they were gonna send me. So I got this really beautiful like purple color. It's just really subtle and muted and I love it so much. So while we're on the Irie Collection bras, I'll go ahead and show you the two other bras that I recently got from them. I'm kind of just buying as many bras as like, cause they only do drops like every couple of weeks. So you can't just like go buy like 10 bras at once because they actually sell it really fast. They only drop them every couple of weeks, they're all handmade. So they have to like go make more before they can list them. And so I've just been like slowly collecting pieces that I really like. And then like if I'm still running out of bras during the week when I'm doing laundry, I'll just buy like another couple. Especially with breastfeeding coming up, I'm just making sure I'm pretty well stocked up on bras that are really comfortable that I like and I won't have to like go back to any of my wire bras or anything like that. That I'll just like have enough of the bras that I like that I can just wear those, if that makes sense. So this, here's another one. As you can see, like it just has a lot more coverage than your average bra does. This is actually a style that I hadn't tried from them before. And the reason that was is because this style sells out so fast, like minutes, I'm telling you what. And so I was like, there's gotta be like a good reason that they sell out within minutes. People must like really love them. So I was actually able to get this one. This is called, this color is called the Espresso. And then I also got this really pretty color. I forget what they called it on the website, but it's got a lot of like pink with some splashes of blue and yellow and a little bit of a darker pink. It's really beautiful. So I was able to get both of these. And this style is called the Plunge Top. So instead of like this one's just rounded, this one like plunges down. I think that's why it's called that. But these fit so flatteringly well that they're probably, it's a really close tie between the Plunge Top and the Triangle Top from them that they both just fit so well and they look so nice and they are just so comfy. I'm slightly obsessed with them. So it's a tie between those two styles that I'm like, well, that's why these always sell out so fast is because they're so comfortable and so pretty. So I was really excited to get two of them. I don't think I'll get any more, two's plenty. I would like to get one more Triangle Top because that one seems like it'll be fabulous for breastfeeding. And that's the one I actually recommend getting for breastfeeding because you can just really easily pull it down for easy access. Okay, and then the last two pieces I got from the iRi collection are actually underwear. So these are the Bikini Bottom ones. They have several different kinds. They'll have like the Bikini Bottom. They have like a High-Rise Bottom. They have a Cheeky Brief, which I really would like to try the Cheeky Brief as well as more of like a loungewear piece that I wear around the house because they're more like shorts, like short shorts. So, but these ones actually got as underwear. So I wouldn't like go out in these because they are like a Bikini Bottom. So there's this really pretty like a tan color, but you can see it's got like splashes of lighter and darker tan. And like their shades of things are just like absolutely gorgeous and so interesting to look at. And yeah, so there's this one, the tan Bikini Bottoms, and then I got a blue one. So also just really cool, like splashes of darker and lighter blue. And I try them on. They're a little bit tight on me right now. They have like, their sizes are one size and they'll have an extended size. So I always get the one size because it fits small, medium, large. These are a little tight on me now, but I'm also almost nine months pregnant. So I actually haven't been wearing them. I tried them on. They were actually, even though they were like a little on the tight side, they were really comfortable and I loved how they fit and they were just very flattering. So I'm just not wearing them right now because I don't want to like totally stretch them out at the end of this pregnancy and then have them like stretched out for the whole rest of the in-between time until I get pregnant again. So these ones are like kind of special undies I'm saving for like postpartum and when I've been breastfeeding long enough that I've dropped a little bit of weight. So just something to look forward to, but they are really flattering, even like I could wear them now because I'm probably a size large right now and these are supposed to fit size large. So it would be fine. I'm just like, I don't know, saving them as a little bit of a, something to look forward to, I guess. So then the last piece is from a company called Free People, which I've been hearing some really cool things about. I think they do a lot of sustainably made clothing. I had seen someone on Instagram that I really like wearing this bralette and I was like, where did you get that bralette? That is so gorgeous and so attractive and like, it's like slightly on the lingerie side, but it is just like so sexy and yet comfortable at the same time. This is like, I became a little bit obsessed with it when I first got it in the mail. I wore it for like two weeks straight. It was ridiculous. So especially with how the straps are, it just like looks really pretty and it's really lacy and also just really comfortable somehow. So you can see it's got two straps that go over your shoulders. Well, okay, four straps, two straps per shoulder and then the front is just like really lacy, beautiful and then the back is more of a stretchy material and you can see this strap just goes straight over and then the second strap, they cross in the back, if that makes any sense. The first couple of times I put it on, I was like a little bit messing around with the straps, like how do I get my head figure in the right way and not get all tied up? But once you get it figured out, it's really easy to put on and it's just really attractive bralette, especially since I wear no bras with underwire anymore. So it just, it feels like it has as much support as like this bra. So, but it's been fun to have something a little bit different like that because I mean, most of my other ones are just like something really simple, cotton, super comfy, like more loungewear type. So it's fun to have something a little bit more lacy and sexy, but yet still like I can wear it as a bra, like under my clothes if I want. So those are all of my few pieces that I've gotten lately.
