Croatia vs. Belgium, Highlights World Cup 2022, Match #5 Group F

Welcome along, it's the Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium. And quite a showdown here in Krupev. Croatia, who just need a draw. Belgium have to win. Despite all those good players. There's the Croatian team. No changes. And four of this team played in the World Cup Final four years ago. Makes his 100th appearance for them. They make four changes. Drop both the Azad brothers and Michy Batshuayi. While Onana is suspended. In come Trosa. Croatia and their familiar red and white jets to get us underway. And an early opportunity. Which fizzes just. They can't win. It's really disturbing. Bertens. Needs someone to aim at. Carrasco. And they get the block at Uranovic. But it's Croatia and Luka Modric with this free kick. Which goes a long way. It's well defended by Bertongen. Carrasco does not clear it. And then Brozovic. The penalty's been given. Anthony Taylor. The English goalkeeper in the world. Now there's going to be a VAR review. Let's call in Dr. Joe on this. Well there are two things here. And that the referee could be looking at. Yeah. It's going to be changed. Offside. Uranovic hops it forward. In by Kramaric. Perisic had come in from the left side. Couldn't quite reach it. Sosa crosses it in again. Still not away. And then Uranovic. Their record goal scorer on the pitch. Belgium. As they look to save their lives. Just needed a touch from a red shirt. Again De Bruyne. Again Lukaku. Got the header. Vaniol. Kovacic. Courtois does his stuff. Early ball in from Modric. Lukaku back defending. And then Sosa. With him. As the focal point of the attack. Carrasco. Lukaku. Turning. De Bruyne. You can see the other player. Uranovic. Modric again finding these pockets of space. That might set the red lights flashing. For the Belgium defenders. He's doing that. Modric. Courtois feeds away another one. He's had to make three saves right at the start of this half. Perisic. Sosa again. Clipped to the back post. De Bruyne. Picks a lovely ball out here. And Carrasco can't finish it. Lukaku can't on the inside of the post. How did that stay out? Carrasco danced through it. Nearly scored. Here's De Bruyne again. And once again. Belgium can't finish off the chance. Set up by Kevin De Bruyne. Landon can't believe it alongside me. I can't believe it. Petkovic joining in. His first involvement. Sosa. Too close. To Courtois. Mateo Kovacic again. Petkovic. Courtois grabs it. Not sure it was going in. Torganasa with the corner kick. And it was an opportunity for Tonga. Who's great in the air. Usually. Starting to look like. Okay, we'll just close up sharp here. Doku. Could he make it happen? For Belgium. The youngster. Witzel. Good defending. Bernier. Back in. That was going to be an own goal. Off Gladio. Doku. Still Doku. On and on he goes. Torganasa. Back across the face. And goal. Lukaku. How does that stay out again? Or in lanes to be fair. Lukaku. And it bounced the wrong way. Doku's worked hard. This one's fenced in again. Lukaku. Surely this time. Stoppage time in the last minute. That's it. Belgium are out of the World Cup. And Croatia make it through to the round of 16.
