Chats With Docs - Episode 10. Designing GenioPaully with PJ after IMDO

Here we are designing a GenioPaully after having completed the IMDO phase of treatment. No patients are identified and I am talking with my engineer PJ. The conversation is across 20,000km and between Australia and Belgium, and so we have to find a time that is not too late in the evening for me and not too early in the morning for him.

We are teeing to pull forward the GenioHyoid pair of muscles in order to overcome a baseline glossoptosis causing Obstructive sleep apnea. To maximise the IMDO distance we also advanced the maxilla with a LeFort procedure, so in this video you can see the LeFort custom plate we use

We overlay there before and after IMDO mandible too so that you can see how the IMDO distractors come forward. I think Graham from Richmond, Virginia (USA) is included in this session.
