DECORATE MY CHRISTMAS TREE WITH ME 2019 ❄️ HOW TO DECORATE WITH RIBBON | GOLD + WHITE THEME

hey you guys and welcome back to my channel today I am so excited to be kicking off like my holiday content with you guys with a holiday decorate the tree with me I shared one of these videos last year with you guys and you guys really enjoyed it and I thought I would share this year in my new apartment as you can see the background I still have to decorate my fireplace mantle I just got these in and my bookshelf so I figured I would do like all Christmas decor on them so if you guys want to see a separate video on how I decorate the rest of my apartment for Christmas give this video a found it on Walmart which was amazing because it was a really good price point and they have the really good review so I'm gonna link the exact tree that I have down below also if you are new here to it would be a little boring just watching me put together a tree but yeah I can't wait to see what this looks like as I said I'll have the exact tree that I ordered in the description box for you guys along with all the ornaments that I found and the tree skirt and everything like that so let's get started waking up to okay so I ended up fluffing the tree it's super important you want to make sure that all the branches don't look all like crushed and whatnot so just take the time this tree actually did not need much fluffing at all especially the bottom portion like this I barely touched it was just like this top part of the tree that needed some fluffing but I have to say this is not sponsored in any way and I love this tree from Walmart like you guys definitely recommend it it's really nice quality it even has like these pine cones on it too also one other tip is before you even start decorating your tree test out your lights if it's a pre-lit tree because you don't want to finish decorating your tree and realize that the lights didn't work especially if you've had it for a few years you definitely want to test the lights even if it's a brand new one you never know but just as a little tip definitely check out the lights before you start decorating so speaking of decorating now we're gonna actually glam up this tree this is like my favorite part and I'm gonna show you guys all the things that I'm gonna use to decorate the tree so we're gonna start over here this is my bin of ornaments I just have a big Rubbermaid container and I just keep them on here and they actually I just keep bubble wrap on the top and they actually stay that way they don't break or anything on me so this is just what works so I'd have like a mixture of clear champagne gold and like mercury glass and glittery ornaments so pretty and then I also have these like faux fur ornaments if I could do exact I'll do the exact links if I find them online otherwise I'll do something very similar so you get the same look and then pics you guys okay pics is what makes the tree like it elevates the whole look so I get these pics from Michaels these are all from my goals last year I think I saw them this year again too they have if not very very similar it just depends I know like Joanne fabric and what else Michaels just stores like that I think even TJ Maxx may have stuff like this but these are amazing because they really glitz up your tree for very inexpensive so I have a bunch of these I actually even have a bag with a few more because I got them on like major clearance last year and then I have these pics as well these make even like great gift toppers but they have like stars and snowflakes they're all like white branches which are super pretty I also have these like gold kind of like metallic II pine cones you just add different texture you want to mix up the textures and then I also have these like little pom-pom pics as well so it makes it like really dreamy and then also I have I have these ornaments here too I got them from Joanne fabric like last year or two years ago I want to say but I did see them there this year again and then this is last year's ribbon I'm hoping that this is gonna work I'll just have to like fluff it out because it has a wire in it so it should be good but not sure if you guys could tell how pretty it is on the camera but it's just a gorgeous ribbon I recommend ribbon with wire in it so you could really shape it to the tree so what I'm gonna do and I also actually I forgot to show you guys I have this ribbon I picked up this ribbon also I'm not sure if I'm gonna use it for Marshall's for $5.99 and this also has a wire in it so I'll use this if I need to but I hope I could just like use what I have already from last year so basically the easiest way to decorate your tree is to pick your color theme like any kind of color scheme that really suits your taste I also just love a classic holiday red too but you pick your ornaments I recommend picks and then ribbon those are the three key components of how I like to decorate a tree and ignore all that flocking that fell to the floor I'm gonna clean that up after we decorate because it's just gonna keep falling as I try to put the ornaments on and stuff like that so so I'm gonna start off with the pics first then I'm gonna do the ornaments and then last thing is the ribbon to fill in any sparse areas with that so that's just how I find it easiest and we're gonna get started we're gonna dance dance have a good time dance dance all night long we're gonna dance dance and have a good time I think Santa's gonna come and join us in this song so after you've done you know a bunch of your pics sometimes what I recommend doing is just taking a step back sometimes even just taking a couple minute break and then revisiting it sometimes it's hard to like tell the placement of everything when you're so close so taking that step back really let you know like oh my gosh this area over here like it looks really sparse and like it needs you know some glitz and glam so I just recommend taking that step back that's what I'm doing right now and then I'm gonna kind of move on to the next set of Christmas pics and then after all the pics are done I'm gonna like kind of see what needs something I'm gonna finish up the pics oh my goodness what a difference all just even the pics alone make so I just finished all the pics here and even when the lights turn on on the tree which I'll turn on at the end you'll really be able to see all the glitter from all the pics but the pics just like nestle right into like a chunk of branches and they just stay there they're just super simple so yeah I had to move a few around and just you know look and see what areas were sparse and now I'm gonna move on to the ornaments because you could see there's some empty spaces but you still obviously want to fill that up with some ornaments and then the ribbon Oh and now the ornaments I'd say 75% I put on the tree right now I wanted to save some room for a ribbon and then I could come back and revisit the ornaments after I do the ribbon just to see any last like finishing touches that I want to add into ornaments but I'm gonna go do the ribbon now but I just thought I'd show you guys how pretty the ornaments look on this tree oh my goodness I'm loving how it's turning out just so dreamy okay for the ribbon so I'll show you guys an example so here's like the piece of ribbon that I have and I say it's about 12 inches about maybe a little bit longer so this is what it looks like and I said the wire ribbon is like the best because you can really mold it to how you exactly want it to look so I'm just gonna take the ribbon to make it look like it's looped in and out of the tree but they're just little strips I'm just gonna basically put tuck it in one little section it just tucks in just like the pegs and then you just tuck it into another section so I'll do a piece up front here so you can see you want to look like it's looping in and out so I'll start where I ended that last one and then just move the wire around like so so yeah just make it look like it's looping in and out of the tree and then I'm just gonna continue on with this big pile of ribbon I may need to cut some more but we'll see and I'll see you guys are back okay so I finished everything on the tree and I am so excited and now for the final reveal we're gonna light it up this tree oh my gosh it looks so good I'm really excited now I can enjoy the tree and finally like decorate now my fireplace mantle and I'm really excited about that so yes this is how the final tree looks I'm just loving it so much you guys have to let me know what you think if you enjoyed this off the floor all the glitter you're gonna track it through your house so definitely sweep it up so you don't get it all tracked around but yeah I'm loving this and I'm so excited and you guys have to
