Hey everyone, recently I've been liking Korean makeup and skincare more and more, so I have
completely changed my skincare routine around.
My skin has become more dry lately since moving on to winter, so today I'm going to show you
how I keep my skin moisturised for my nightly skincare routine.
Usually when I come back home from work, the first thing I want to do is remove my makeup
for my skin to breathe.
I usually just tie my hair up to keep it out of the way, and I start by just using any
makeup wipes.
I use the makeup wipes on my eye makeup first since I find it's the hardest to remove.
Nowadays I don't wear waterproof eye makeup anymore because it's just so hard to remove.
I prefer just using non-waterproof makeup, so I can just use these makeup wipes and get
most of my makeup off.
And now I'm just going to use the rest of my makeup wipes to try and get as much makeup
off my face as possible.
Obviously just using makeup wipes isn't going to be enough to remove everything, so now
we are going to go straight into the skincare.
First step is to cleanse.
I like to use a cleanser sometimes to remove my makeup if I'm too lazy to use makeup wipes
first.
However, when even after using makeup wipes, I still have to cleanse my face to make sure
all the makeup is off.
I absolutely love this cleansing oil from Innisfree.
It's the Olive Real Cleansing Oil and it smells amazing.
Because it is an oil, it won't dry out your skin as most cleansers do.
I find it works best if you rub the oil on your face first and then just add a little
bit of water and massage it around.
And after that I'm just going to wash it off with water.
Next I'm going to be using this face mask that I have been loving so much lately.
My friend got this for me in Korea and I've never actually tried out these sort of masks
before but now I'm in love with them.
I was a little bit worried trying out this mask because there are big sugar particles
in it, so I was afraid it would damage my skin.
However, if you just apply it on with a damp face and if you wet the product a little bit
under water, it will work wonders.
So you just want to massage it gently all over your face and just avoiding the eye area.
This will exfoliate your skin.
It also smells like lemongrass which is really nice.
You may look like you have a really bad tan after you've applied it all over your face,
but just leave it there for about 10-15 minutes.
So this mask I actually don't use it every day, I use it maybe about twice a week.
Okay so after waiting 10-15 minutes, it's time to wash it off gently with some water.
Next I'm going to be using this emulsion from Skinfood.
It has hyaluronic acid in it which is great to keep your face hydrated.
So after the face mask, your skin should feel really soft but it might be feeling a bit
dry.
So now we are going to be applying this Skinfood emulsion to keep my face moisturised.
The consistency is really light and it's absorbed really easily into the skin.
Final product we are going to use today is my favourite.
This is the Innisfree Soybean Firming Serum and it restores the firmness and elasticity
into your skin with the roller.
I love using this to massage my face.
It's got an on and off button to let the serum come out.
So we are just going to push the on button and then squeeze it a little bit until some
product comes out.
Now we are going to be using the roller on the areas where sagging and wrinkles are most
likely to occur.
First we are going to start off with the area just above our brow bone.
So just squeeze a little more for some more product.
And now concentrate it at the area under your eyes.
And just after you finish massaging in some areas, just try and blend it into your skin.
Okay now next part we are going to go up and down on our cheekbones.
And again just pat the serum into your face.
And then go over a few times on the area under your mouth.
And now just pat everything into your skin until it absorbs.
Since we are done with this now we are just going to turn it off so no more product comes
out.
Now your skin should feel really soft and refreshed.
I like using the roller about twice a week.
I notice results within a week of using it.
My skin now feels a lot more firm and I'm starting to break out less after changing
to the skincare routine.
