Watch This BEFORE Black Friday Shopping (Actually Urgent)

Hey, credit warriors, welcome to the show. And in this video, I want to tell you how to earn 15 percent cashback or 15 Amex points per dollar on top of whatever cashback or points you would normally earn on whatever credit card you use and on top of whatever Black Friday deals are available. So there is a website called Rakuten.com. I recommend these guys every year. Basically, what they are is a cashback shopping portal. They're basically doing affiliate marketing for other stores. OK, some of your favorite brands are on there. And they're just sharing their commissions with you. So what you do is you go to their site, you browse the merchants that are on their site, you then click through to your favorite merchant or you add your credit card to be used in store at that merchant, because some of the stores allow you to link a credit card on Rakuten and earn extra cashback in store. And then whatever the rate of extra cashback is. And right now it's sky high. It's like 12 to 15 percent or something that will be added into your Rakuten account. And the crazy thing about Rakuten is that they even let you redeem the cashback for Amex membership rewards points at one cent in cashback equals one membership reward point if you have an Amex card to redeem them into. So that gives some crazy extra value, potentially double the value if you go on to use those points to book flights with airlines and stuff. I have another video that shows you how to set that all up. So I'll put that on the end card of this video as well. But now let's go into my computer and I'm going to show you some of the best deals that are available right now on the Rakuten website for earning extra cashback and Amex points this Thanksgiving and Black Friday. OK, guys, so we are in my computer. This is Rakuten.com, the premier cashback portal that I use every Black Friday. And I always recommend for people to use. And not only can you earn cashback, you can also earn Amex points. So if you want to earn Amex points instead of cashback, basically wherever you see the cashback rates like Walmart up to 12 percent, that is transferable to Amex points, 12 Amex points per dollar. OK, now you can see they've got a lot of your favorite stores. Walmart, Samsung, if you want to get like a new Samsung Galaxy or something. Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue at 15 percent. OK, that's crazy. We'll talk about Saks in just a moment. But let's just first of all, go through how this works. So wherever you see up to 12 percent cashback, that means it varies by department. So if I was to click into Walmart, you can see, you know, automotive is 12 percent, but baby gear is 1 percent, clothing and shoes, 12 percent, et cetera. So you've got to look at the list of departments to see what level of cashback you can get on the particular thing that you want to buy. Samsung is also up to 12 percent. So if you wanted to buy, say, a home appliance, it's only 8 percent. But if you want to buy a mobile phone, it's 12 percent. Right. Look at that. So you could buy the latest like Samsung Galaxy. And this is obviously on top of the Black Friday savings that you're already getting. OK, so like this stuff in all of these stores, like it's already discounted. OK, you're already like, let's have a look at just one thing. Let's have a look at a phone. Like, yeah, look at this. OK, you got like this Samsung Jet vacuum cleaner. It used to be 329. It's now 199. And then top of that, you'll be getting the cashback and you'll be getting whatever you'd normally earn for whatever credit card you use as well. So you've got like three different layers of deal. You got Macy's 12 percent across the entire store. OK, Macy's is great for Christmas presents. Dell Technologies. If you got the Dell credit on the Amex Business Platinum, that's great. You know, you got 15 percent cashback and you could get the Dell credit. The one I like for the personal platinum. OK, so Saks has a Saks credit on the personal platinum. Let's click into Saks. All right. So it's 15 percent cashback across the entire store. So you're getting 15 percent no matter what you, you know, no matter what you're doing. OK, across the entire store. So look at this. Spend only 150 dollars and earn a 75 dollar gift card. All right. So let's do the math on this. So we're spending 150 and we are earning 15 percent back on that, which is 2250. All right. Then we are getting a 75 dollar gift card. All right. So 150 minus 2250 is 2750. Then minus 75. That takes us down to what is that? That would be 5250 we're down to. Right. Then if you haven't used your Saks Fifth Avenue credit on your Amex personal platinum, that's 50 dollars. All right. So we're now at like two dollars 50 that we've spent. OK. And then on top of that, you're going to earn one Amex point per dollar, which might even. Yeah, that basically wipes out the the other 250. And as well, if it's your first time using them, you can get 10 percent off for signing up for the newsletter. If it's your first time shopping here, obviously, for platinum members, it probably won't be. But yeah, it's incredible. So you could get basically 150 dollars worth of purchase at Saks for basically zero. So, yeah, Saks is a great example for people. But, you know, you can click on here at the top and it'll show you all of the 12 percent cashback stores. So let's click in there. So, yeah, basically we've got the same the same stores. Most of them are 12 percent. Some are up to 15 percent and they may even go up. So obviously it's Thanksgiving today. Tomorrow it will be Black Friday. So they might even go up. And there are also certain stores that you can actually use your card in store as well. If you click in store cashback, if you want to physically go to a store tomorrow on Black Friday, what you have to do, look, Adidas, H&M, Macy's as well. Some of these you got to just link your cards. All right. So but it's best to say choose see details and then you can basically see sometimes it might be certain departments. But oh, yeah, this one's unlimited use Adidas. Let's see what there is. Yeah, unlimited use. So you just link your card and then use that card in store. So if you physically go to Macy's in store unlimited use, it shows you all the locations. So you can even it even helps you find the store and you use your card in store for 12 percent cashback on top of what you've already earned. And if you have, say, the Chase Freedom, for example, they're doing 5 percent back at Walmart. Then you can get 12 percent by using this. So in total, you'd be earning like 12 percent or 12 Amex points if you choose to redeem as Amex points. And then on top of that, you're getting five Chase points. So it would be like 17 points. It is a plug in for the Chrome browser on desktop and Safari browser on mobile. And it basically picks the correct credit card from your wallet to use at whatever merchant you're shopping at. So, for example, if I click through Rakuten to Walmart, then the Kudos plug in will be recommending the Chase Freedom Flex from my wallet for five percent back. And it also shows the other benefits like extended warranty on that card. If you enter your card numbers in Kudos, they are stored encrypted and will be auto filled at checkout with the card you choose from Kudos' recommended list. So it's a great plug in to try out.
