2016 Ford Edge SEL Walk Around Review

Hello ladies and gentlemen, it's Christopher here at Mike Knapp Ford in Welland, Ontario, 607 Niagara Street, and I'm going to present to you our 2016 Ford Edge SEL. This one is the two liter in the shadow black. It does have the EcoBoost technology. It's right in the middle of our Edge trim lines. As you know, we can have the SEL in the middle, the titanium, and the sport. So let's take a look at this SEL package. There's gorgeous chrome all throughout. As you can see, I got it all opened up. Here's a nice shot of the front. Lots of chrome on the grille, and you have your LED daytimes there. It's sitting on the aluminum alloy rims in the silver finish. They are 18 inch, and it's going to come with the all season tires. This specific one is front wheel drive, and you can choose to go all wheel drive or front wheel drive. Let's take a look at the key fob. As you can see, it is right here. It's got the remote start right on the key here, which is really cool. Lock, unlock, and the trunk button there. As we move on to the inside, this one is the base SEL. It's got a few additions to it. One is the Canadian touring package, which gives you this very large sunroof and the GPS navigation. It's a 10 way adjustable driver's seat, all power operated. It is a heated cloth seat. I like this nice two-tone stitching here. It gives it a gorgeous look throughout the vehicle. As I hop in, let's take a look at the steering wheel. The wheel is fully adjustable and telescopic. On the wheel, I do have my Bluetooth and my cruise control. These two pads here will help control my two middle screens, that one and the one over here. I can do things like vehicle information, radio displays, navigation, Bluetooth, all on the screens here. As you can see, the gas meter there is digital. The headlights are automatic as well. It makes it easier. On the wheel, I do get the paddle shifters if I want to shift standard mode. We do have the push button start, where you can start the car with the push of a button. The new SYNC 3 has arrived to this edge. Tons of benefits of the SYNC 3. You can receive automatic updates. You can control the climate controls right from the touchscreen from my heated steering wheel to the high, low, defoggers. Everything can be controlled right from the touchscreen or even with the voice commands, which is pretty cool. You can sync your phone, use the GPS navigation that comes with the Canadian Touring Package. Very easy to use, all done on the touchscreen. Again, I can search different points of interest or just type in an address manually. You can see there all the restaurants that are next to us on 607 Niagara Street. You can also set up your apps. If you have certain apps on your cell phone that are compatible with the car, things like the Spotify radio, there's a bunch of radio apps. There's a Ford specific app, which will help you with your maintenance. And you can do remote starting and things like that, locking and unlocking straight from your phone, which is a pretty neat feature on this new SYNC 3. We're also going to give you 60 days, sorry, six months free. I said 60 days, six months free of the satellite radio. And it all comes up on the touchscreen. Again, there's over 200 stations from pop, all different categories, comedy, Christian, hip hop. Down below, I have radio controls. If you don't want to use the touchscreen, you can use the manual controls and the heated seat controls are here for each side. There's some storage in the center for your USB. They added this electric parking brake, which I think is pretty cool. It makes up for a lot more space up in the center console here where there's a ton of space. It goes pretty deep. You see my hand in there. Let's take a look at the back. So this is what everybody likes about the edges. There's a ton of space for all your passengers. You can fold the seats down as well. And as you can see, they are reclined for a more comfier ride. And that sunroof goes all the way to the back again. And this is the trunk, very large trunk. This one comes with the all weather floor mats, as well as the carpeted mats. There's a huge trunk to fit all your cargo, whatever you need. And with a touch of a button here, you can see the seats fold down very easily. I got the seatbelt caught on it here and they fold down just like that when needed a little more encouragement. Underneath, you have the full size spare and let's get a nice shot of the back. Very sporty looking back. Of course, it's going to come with a backup camera when you're parking, which is going to be included there. And you have the reverse sensors. So again, thank you so much for watching.
