How to Make a Photo Vignette _ Photographer Tips

Hi, my name is Dan Renneke with Unknown Media, and today I'm gonna show you how to make a photo vignette. For this, we're going to hop in to our photo editing software. Let's take a look. All right, so this is the photo I'm gonna use to show you how to create a vignette. So what we're gonna do is grab our lasso tool. The feather, we'll go ahead and make that 100. Now, all you're gonna have to do is simply lasso around, and you can do this however precisely you want. Now, what you're gonna do is go ahead and create a curves layer. And what we're gonna wanna do is go ahead and invert the mask so the vignette takes place on the outside. And now, simply all you have to do, drop that down. And from here, if you don't like the way that is looking, feel free to go ahead and maybe drop down the vibrance. But in the mask here, go ahead and hold option and drag your vignette up to replace the layer mask. And that will just take away some of those tones that are brought in through the darkening.
