I love my old bench but it’s about 10 years old, broken and definitely seen better days so we have decided to replace it with a bistro set of two chairs and a coffee table which we are delighted with.
You can tell in this video how we both have different ideas of what looks nice as we struggle to agree on the positioning 🤣🤣 but we got there in the end 😊

Hi everyone it's Jeanette here from Enthusiastic Gardener.
Now I love this bench but this bench is about 10 years old and it's broken
and it's seen far better days. We did think of
painting it and sprucing it up a bit but I had really
set my heart on having two little chairs and a little coffee table here
and I thought that would be really nice for a morning cup of tea.
However Richard has been against my idea and I don't want you to think that he
says yes to all my ideas because believe me he doesn't say yes to all my ideas
at all and sometimes it takes me quite a while
to persuade him into one of my good ideas and afterwards
he wonders why it took him so long because it was a good idea.
Anyway I have finally persuaded him that we should get two chairs and I
reluctantly dragged him yesterday to the factory shop where there are really
really cheap things and we found something really nice. I liked one style
he liked another I let him pick the one he
wanted because I didn't mind I liked them both so
anyway I'm off to walk the dogs and he said that he'll put them together for me
so I'm expecting him to complain about me while he does it.
We shall see let's hand over to Richard.
Yesterday she said I've seen these two chairs and a coffee table for the
garden. I saw them a year ago so I would like to go back to the shop
to see if they've still got it so I thought well there's no chance of
that but we'll go and lo and behold they were still
there. So now I've got to put together
two chairs and a coffee table.
The first chair is done. I think the gent's got his vision
and in the morning we'll get up go outside
with a cup of tea sit by the bench and have a nice relaxing cup of tea
together. It's fun the dogs are being heard at.
The other dog will be on the chair and I'm standing.
Anyway let's crack on with the second one.
Right I've complete two chairs and a coffee table and
I must admit that they look very nice and I think it will
complement the other furniture. So
I love it. Do you love it? Yes. I bet when I come out in 10 minutes
time it's been moved and then I'll move it back to how it is
Okay well this is our new table it just needs to go back
slightly to there. Compromise. She has to have their last little move. No it's not
that it's a compromise. So thank you Richard. I love it.
Just what I wanted. It's far more comfortable isn't it than that bench.
And you can put your cup of tea down or the gin and tonic depending on the
time of day. And I've got some cushions actually we
could put here. Do you want to see them? No no I'm
quite happy as I am now. Thank you Richard. He has um it's what
we call our compromises isn't it. Richard chose
the chairs didn't you? Yes dear. Because I was going to have them.
Because she wanted them. No but there was two types. Oh there was.
And you chose these ones rather than the other ones.
They weren't practical. They weren't practical. And this is more in keeping
to what we've got. That lovely table and over there.
Complaining about me and the table.
