WBC Baseball Highlights Japan v. Netherlands

Breaking ball, ripped to left. Donovan scoped a rocket out of here, and his teammates spill out of the dugout. It's 1-1. Nakata, of the classic for Nakata. So, Nakata, he's done that quite a few times in this tournament already. And so now Valentin, the big slugger, who's had such a great run here in Japan. Valentin! Goodness! It's tied! No question about it, the only thing in doubt was whether or not it was going to be fair or foul. This team's got a lot of offense, and Valentin, once he gets it going, look out. Andrelton Simmons, the shortstop, is really pulled over into the hole. It's hard to tell from that angle. Simmons in the center field. Simmons was shaded towards third, and it cost him. So, Japan takes the lead, 6-5. Kobayashi's at first. Matsui ready, not running. Up the middle. Diving stop! Kikuchi! Sakamoto for the out! Wow! Ryosuke Kikuchi committed just four errors in 141 games last season, and he's a wizard with the glove right between the pitcher's legs. Somewhat of a distraction for the second baseman, but he flips it with his glove to Sakamoto. Fastball, ground ball, base hit! He's racing for third, and he'll get it! And the Dutch have come back! Jonathan Scopes, third hit, and it's 6-6. Second and third one out, and Sean Nakata got off to a fast start. He doubled in Holbrook in his first two at-bats. Hope for three cents. Line drive, base hit, left field. It'll score both runs. Kikuchi, Aoki, and, of course, it's Nakata. And the bunt works.
