Hera Hyesang Park has quickly established herself as one of the leading sopranos of her generation, hailed for her bright, clear voice and impressive coloratura technique. Here, she showcases her lyric qualities with the famous Schubert song ‘Ellens Gesang’ (Ave Maria), recorded at the Meistersaal in Berlin and accompanied by pianist Sarah Tysman as part of Deutsche Grammophon’s Musical Moments series. One of Schubert’s best-loved tunes – a melody full of love and longing – ‘Ellens Gesang’ is an epitome of Romantic song.
