Hey curlfriends, I'm Bianca Renee and you're watching Bianca Renee Today.
And today, for the hairstyle challenge, I'm going to give you a variety of different looks
while using kind of the same look over and over again.
So we're going to bring back the pompadour.
You don't know what that is.
It was a hit in the early 2000s, let me tell you.
I used to wear it all the time.
Girls with straight hair loved it.
But I think it's even easier to do with curly hair.
And that's when you have that little poof on the top of your head, which can look really
cute depending on how you style it.
So I'm going to show you 1, 2, 3, maybe 4, I don't know, we'll get creative, different
ways to rock this little poof look.
And it kind of just gives your hair more volume, more zhuzh.
Now my hair is already styled, ready to go.
I tried a new little cocktail today.
I tried the Cantu Avocado Hydrating Curl Activator.
And then on top I put the Not Your Mother's Curl Talk Curl Activating Mousse.
These two work very nicely together, I was pleasantly surprised.
You can see the definitions there, shiny, and I'm getting really great volume.
And I usually get bigger hair when I use a cream.
But let's get started.
So I'm going to grab this middle part of my hair, let's see, let's bring everybody forward.
Let's just grab this and, okay, let's grab about this much.
And then you pull it back, and then you poof, just poof it forward.
And I'm probably going to put down any little flyaways.
Just like that.
So now you grab some bobby pins.
Now because I went a little wild with my pick to make it bigger, it's a little frizzy.
So I'm going to fix that.
Let's grab some more mousse and smooth it down.
Okay, now I'm going to spray some water and just fix any little flyaways.
Now I'm going to just dry what I just sprayed.
Now I'm going to slick down these baby hairs using a new edge control that I haven't really
tried either before or in a long time.
But this is the Cantu Extra Hold Edge Stay Gel, and they also have a edge brush.
All right, so let me grab some.
Mm, smells good.
Ooh, this is very firm hold.
Add some earrings and poof, there you go.
Look number one, super simple.
It kind of gets the hair out of your face.
Very cute.
Now, option number two, we add more hair up.
Kind of giving you like a half up, half down look.
So I'm going to grab a little bit more, and then we're going to snatch the face.
See, free facelift.
And I'm going to tie this in the back.
Use a scrunchie.
Okay, there we go.
Real rock and roll now.
Put these little guys away.
These little, I don't even know what these are.
Baby hairs, postpartum shedding.
Hmm, okay, edge control.
Hope you last, because that is nice.
Be gone, like so.
Or maybe you don't want to be bothered and you want it just all up and away.
We can keep going.
Now, you could just take all of it and put it up into a ponytail like that,
but I think I kind of want this extra layer.
So I'm going to take the first pompadour extra and the first ponytail
and then just put this part up.
Giving you more of a like mohawk ponytail look.
Or maybe your curls just are not cooperating.
You just need everything up and away.
So you can grab that same middle section.
We're going to put it away for a second.
Just want to grab the rest of it.
Act like it's day five hair.
Ain't nobody got time to do it.
Up and away.
We're just going to put it into a bun, like so.
Take this part, fold it back, pop it forward.
Let those curls fall.
We'll fix those.
There we go.
So you can leave the curls out if you want.
Kind of like a little messy, curly updo.
Or you can tuck them in and just leave a couple out on the sides.
Now, I think this look does look best if you like slick it down.
Maybe on a day where you're not doing multiple hairstyles.
And this could be a casual look or a fancy look.
I've actually worn my hair like this to a wedding.
In like a nice dress.
Little curly updo.
And remember, you can tuck these in to make it look as neat or lived in as you like.
Now, if this wasn't a day where I was trying to do multiple hairstyles at one time,
I would just slick everything back so it's as neat as possible.
No flyaways.
And there you go.
We did four quick and easy, lazy, just want to do something different to my hair looks
with just a little pompadour on the front.
There's so many different ways you could do this.
You could do a low ponytail.
You could do that in some braids.
You could do just all that in a slick bun.
Whatever you think.
It just kind of adds a little bit more height and look to the face
versus just like a slick back look.
