Secrets behind messages sent from China's ‘hell on earth’ prisons

Christmas wish or life-saving plea?
In December 2019, while preparing Christmas cards for classmates, Florence Widdicombe, a 6-year-old London girl, noticed a message inside a charity Christmas card from Tesco.
The message is believed to be from prisoners, who work as forced laborers in China,
"We are foreign prisoners in Shanghai Qingpu Prison, China."

Ben Widdicombe, Florence's father, shared the card with the BBC,
The note reads, "Forced to work against our will. Please help us and notify human rights organization."
