Today, we've come to Harajuku and we're going to be showing you some of the things you can
do around Harajuku.
Right now, we're at Takeshita Dori Street, which is the very famous street with all of
the people and it's always super crowded, but there are so many things that you can
do here, from cafes and shopping.
We're going to show you everything.
Sweet.
Sure, let's go check out the cafes then.
Yeah.
So, in Harajuku, there are a lot of themed cafes that you can check out, from anime characters
to owls or cats or even just cute lattes, but right now, we're going to try the Pompompurin
Cafe, so let's see what we can find.
Okay, so this is the Pompompurin Cafe and Pompompurin is a character by Sanrio.
It's a combination of pudding and a golden Labrador Retriever, so of course, it's going
to be adorable.
And this cafe offers many different kinds of food, you can get savory food, you can
get many different drinks and desserts, of course, they have parfaits and pudding, which
is their specialty that they're known for, so if you are interested in anything cute
and adorable, just come check out this Pompompurin Cafe and I definitely recommend getting the
pudding.
It's a really good caramel.
Once you pass Takashita Dori, you're going to enter this whole back alley area and it's
full of vintage clothing shops and used clothing shops and this is where you're going to find
a more hipster-y or indie look for the clothing styles that you can see around Harajuku.
The price isn't always the cheapest, but it's definitely going to be the most unique thing
you're going to find.
So on the other side of Harajuku, you have Meiji Shrine and you also have Yoyogi Park,
so this is a place where you can experience more of the traditional side of Japan and
see the nature in central Tokyo.
So right now we've come to Design Festa Gallery and it's basically a house where there are
lots of rooms and a lot of the artists can show off their artwork here, so let's go in
and check it out.
Now we've come to a 3D Latte Cafe and the menu is pretty straightforward.
You pick the latte you want and then you choose what kind of artwork you want on it.
So you can choose from Cappuccino, Cafe Mocha, Vanilla Latte, Caramel Latte, Honey Latte and
Hot Chocolate.
So we got a Hot Chocolate and a Honey Latte and we've both got the 3D artwork.
You can also bring in your picture from home and get them to make it for you and just add
on 400 yen.
We got our 3D Latte Art and I got Totoro on mine.
Yum!
So here we have Kitty Land and this is one of the biggest character stores that you can
find around Harajuku and it's got so many characters from Snoopy to Harry Potter to
Star Wars to Ghibli movies, so you can find whatever you want if you want to get somebody
a souvenir from Japan and they love character goods.
And last but not least we have Kawaii Monster Cafe which is a place that puts all of the
crazy and colourful culture of Harajuku into a themed cafe.
You can order many unique drinks and food here like this Blue Monster Cheeseburger I
had and there are also live shows and performances throughout the day.
So definitely check out some of the places mentioned in this video and don't forget
to subscribe for weekly updates.
