Why Are So Many People Buying Macbook Pros WITHOUT The Display?

This is, this was, this one caught my attention too. This was kind of flown around, uh, picking up steam on Twitter because we're in the midst of a new Apple event and everybody's thinking about foreign factors and, uh, everyone has these desktop style setups work from home style setups and people want bigger monitors. Well, Apple was going to do this bigger monitor 27 inch, but look at this way in which apparently an increasing number of people are, um, interacting with their Mac they're using. And if you can't, you know, if you're just listening, this is a MacBook pro without the screen screen is just ripped off. And instead the USB type C is connected to presumably a hub and a number of peripherals and a display. And you end up with a track pad, a keyboard and an entire computer that sits on your desk is very portable. And depending on which version you're using to do this could be more powerful than whatever desktop alternative you might've had. Uh, now I wouldn't want to rip the display off of my MacBook pro in order to achieve this, but what people are actually doing is they're finding, uh, old MacBook pros on, on, uh, eBay. Apparently there's hundreds of listings where you have a display problem, right? Busted display. Somebody doesn't want to replace the entire display and they just sell it as is broken. And the person's like, Hey, that's a perfectly good computer. Let me just crack that display right off of there. And, uh, this will be sufficient for me. Now you imagine this individual, they have, let's say they have a display at home, a home setup and a work setup. And then all they got to do is slide this baby out of there. And it's even lighter than carrying the display. Now I realized they couldn't go to the coffee shop with it, but you have a fully portable desktop computer that can go with you wherever you go with this type of setup and, and apparently you can get cheap deals on these on eBay because people just, you know, it's just a broken computer at that point and people don't run, want to replace the display. The other advantages over a Mac mini is the trackpad and keyboard are built in and you have better speakers. Oh, right. Yeah. See, in case you don't want to worry about speakers. I realized this is very bizarre and it's certainly not going to be for everyone. It probably shouldn't be for it. Like it's, there's other ways of achieving, uh, things that aren't this. Yeah. But you gotta, you gotta, uh, appreciate the industriousness. Ingenuity. Yeah. Just whatever. Make it work for you. I don't know. I've done crazier things in my life. Yeah.
