Hey guys, welcome back to my YouTube channel.
If you're new here, I'm Jalissa.
Today I'm going to be trying the new CurlSmith diffuser.
This is the biggest diffuser yet.
This is probably like the largest diffuser ever invented.
So I am very excited to try this.
It's so big.
It's huge.
It retails for about $200.
I am going to be giving you guys my honest thoughts on this diffuser.
So let's open this up.
If you're liking my YouTube channel, please subscribe.
Let's make it to 100K subscribers.
We're almost there.

I have been posting a lot of videos on there.
A lot of mini tutorials and mini reviews.
So yeah, if you want to follow me on there, definitely check it out.
And yeah, let's get right into the video.
So today I tried the new Coco & Eve leave-in conditioner.
So far, I like it.
I'm actually trying it right now.
I feel like my hair is very, very soft.
This kind of feels like the Like A Virgin mask from Coco & Eve.
So it is very, very moisturizing, which I really, really like.
Okay, so here's the diffuser attachment.
Look at this.
Look at this, guys.
It's so big.
It's bigger than my face.
And also, this is the wide tooth comb attachment.
I like that this brings this attachment, so you don't have to worry about that anymore.
You don't have to go and buy it.
So I really like that it includes it already with the blow dryer.
And it also has a nozzle attachment, which could be really nice for blowouts.
So if you guys want me to try this and blow out my hair, I can definitely try it.
I have been kind of trying to stay away from heat a little bit now, especially in the summer.
I kind of always do that.
And then in the winter, I like straighten my hair more, but I really want to just curl
my hair more.
Just leave it natural a lot more, even in the winter.
So we'll see.
We'll see if I don't get tempted with new hair tools that come out, because I always
want to try new hair tools.
Okay, so this has a low, medium, and high heat setting, and it also has a low and high
speed.
It also has a cool setting, which is pretty cool.
So here's the Dyson compared to the Curlsmith.
It's so big.
I can't even imagine taking this with me when I travel.
It's just too much.
Look how tiny the Dyson is.
I just love how tiny it is.
This bigger diffuser is supposed to give you a quick dry.
I'm going to put it in the medium heat setting and in the highest speed, because I don't
want to put too much heat to my hair.
So I'm just going to do...
I'm going to dry this first.
I'm going to flip my head now, and I'm just going to dry the bottom a little bit, just
to give myself a little bit more volume, and then I'll just do the ends.
But I will say, it feels like it's drying my hair so quickly.
I put this on the side of my head, and I literally feel like this got this entire side covered.
It is literally drying such a big section.
I wish you guys could see.
Do you see that?
It's drying the whole one side of my head.
It's crazy.
Okay, so now I'm just going to dry my hair like this, just the ends a little bit, and
then I'm going to use this bad boy right here.
I've been obsessed with these attachments now, because it gives you so much volume at
the root, and if you want to elongate your curls, you can do that as well with this attachment.
I'm not going to do that today, but I am going to lift my roots a little bit, just to give
my roots more volume, because sometimes I just feel like my curls are just kind of like
flat, and this gives me the perfect amount of volume at the root.
I mean, I haven't tried this one specifically from CurlSmith, but I use the Dyson one all
the time, and it is so worth it.
Okay, so I'm going to take this off, and I'm going to use the wide tooth comb attachment
at the root.
So it definitely gave my roots so much lift, but I don't know, I feel like it's starting
to look a little bit frizzy.
It could be the leave-in conditioner.
Maybe I need a little bit of a gel, just to kind of control everything, because I think
a leave-in conditioner might not be enough for me sometimes, so I'm just going to finish
drying my hair, and I'll see what I can do, and if I can maybe, I don't know, add a little
bit of oil or something, just to make it look better.
I feel like this is making my hair a little ... I don't know if you can see, but my hair
is getting pretty frizzy.
I think there's too much air coming out, and it's just not concentrated enough, so I feel
like that's making my hair a little bit more frizzy.
If I use the Dyson, for example, this would just concentrate on a small section.
I'm going to turn this on, so you guys can see that even if I put it like this, it's
not going to make the top sections frizzy.
It's drying, but it's so big, so it dries the top, and I don't want that.
You know what I mean?
Okay, so I hope that that makes sense.
I don't know if I'm going to keep this.
It's $200, and I really like my Dyson Supersonic Diffuser.
I feel like it works so well on my curls.
Definitely gives me a more defined curl look and less frizzy.
This one is definitely making my hair more frizzy, and I know I just used a leave-in conditioner.
Maybe that could be it as well, but yesterday, I used a leave-in conditioner only as well,
and I used my Dyson Supersonic, and my curls were a lot more defined and not frizzy at all.
So I'll put that video right here so you guys can see.
I used the new Sol de Janeiro leave-in conditioner.
So it is kind of like the same as this leave-in conditioner.
It's the same concept.
It's not like a gel that's going to hold your hair.
So I definitely like how the Dyson dries my hair a lot more.
I feel like this is way too big for me.
I might end up returning it.
I don't know, guys.
I'm not a huge fan of it.
I think it's too big.
I think it's kind of hard to take with you when you travel.
It did make my hair a little bit more frizzy.
I mean, if you have very long hair, and if you just want to kind of like air dry it quick like this,
then maybe that could work for you, but I don't know.
I'm not a big fan of it.
I really thought I was going to like it more.
I'm going to add a little bit of oil just to kind of see if that can make my hair a little bit less frizzy-looking.
I'm going to use this Bread Beauty oil to tame the frizz maybe a little bit,
make it look a little bit nicer and put together.
Okay, guys.
So, here's the final look.
It does not look terrible.
I feel like the oil did help a little bit, but it's definitely not my favorite diffuser that I have.
I even like the Shark one better as well, and it's like about the same price.
I just feel like that one's way too big, and I don't know.
For me, it didn't work, but maybe for someone with longer hair, it could work better.
So, yeah, guys.
That's it for this video.
Let me know in the comments down below if you like this diffuser.
Have you tried it?
Would you try it?
And, yeah.
I'll see you guys in my next video.

Mwah.
