It's happening guys. Today we are turning my hovercraft into something the Green
Goblin would ride. So if you've been following me lately you've probably seen
my hoverboard project. Basically a giant multi copter with 12 blades that you can
stand on and fly around. Ever since I was a kid I've always wanted to build
something like this so now it's finally happening. Very excited for this video.
The whole time I've been making this thing y'all have been saying turn it
into the Green Goblin thing. Which is fair I mean here's the Green Goblin
hoverboard and this is the one I made. Not a huge step to be honest. So that's
the plan for this one but before we do this it would really mean a lot if you
could just take like three seconds head down to the comments and drop a little
idea for what I should build next. Like we literally spent like two hours
yesterday just sifting through all the comments. Also thumbs up any cool ideas
because that really helps show what's most popular. And of course drop a like
and subscribe if you want. So I'm looking at some footage of the Green Goblin
hoverboard from the 2002 Spider-Man. Which just has some just amazing CGI by
the way. I'm seeing a lot of green and it looks like he's got some weapons on
there as well. So I guess let's get a bunch of lights and maybe a few
airsoft blasters. So in order to make this look the best like really have the
lights pop and everything we need to do this at night. Now I've never flown this
at night before so it's got me a little bit uneasy. It sounds stupid but I'm not
sure if my balance is gonna be thrown off by the darkness like if you close
your eyes and try to balance or how my neighbors are gonna feel about a
gigantic flying machine outside their window at 8 p.m. But you know either way
let's give it a shot. So I'm thinking we do a few strips of light around the
outside. Maybe some on top too. I also got this stuff called EL wire. It's
basically some copper wire with a thin phosphorous coating so whenever a
voltage is passed through it it glows. Basically shiny light up wire look cool.
So we gotta add some of this to the helmet. So we're getting a little bit
into Tron territory but I have a feeling no one's gonna mind. Come on like tell me
this doesn't look cool. So while we're at it let's throw some of this EL wire on
the jacket and pants as well. Not bad. So now that we've got the light sorted
let's move on to the turrets. So actually in a past video I built an airsoft
shoulder cannon. Basically an airsoft blaster on a turret that could swivel
around right off my shoulder controlled by a Wii nunchuck and it had facial
recognition too. I'm not sure how well that's gonna work here but we can at
least use the turret mechanism. So this turrets controlled by a high torque
servo which runs off of a PWM signal. You know what else is controlled by a PWM
signal? Literally everything on the drone. So it actually might not be too hard to
So that way we can control the turrets directly from the drone controller we're
already using. So I 3D printed some parts and got to work. Basically there's a
bottom swivel piece that the servo sits inside. It's connected to a round top
piece that holds the blaster so we can move it back and forth. So let's build
two of these and mount them on either side of the drone for maximum coolness.
And these blasters are automatic and electric so it shouldn't be too hard to
hijack the trigger signals and pipe them right to the controller. So check this
out guys. Dual fully rotating blasters on top of our green goblin hoverboard. I
mean who else is doing it? Come on that's gotta deserve a like. Not
convinced? Okay let's add some lasers. Did I mention we're gonna add lasers? I just
feel like it wouldn't be complete without it. So you might have seen this
in a previous video but Wicked Lasers sent over their newest green laser cube.
I've said it before and I'll say it again this thing is too cool. It's
literally an entire programmable light show laser blaster all in a tiny little
box. So of course we're gonna mount this to the drone. Lucky for us again this is
controlled via USB so we can pipe this directly into our drone controller
because that's already run by a computer. So now I can do all this cool stuff like
draw patterns, burn stuff, nicely integrated directly from the drone
controller. I'm not sure how I'm gonna be able to do this when I'm actually flying
it but it's a cool start for now. One thing we do have to consider though is
the vibration. So when we're mounting all this stuff gotta make sure it's secure
so nothing rattles loose, falls into the propellers, breaks the propellers, breaks
me and drone go bye-bye. But now that we got everything built we need a nice
place to test this. Lucky for us our backyard should be the perfect spot. But
just to go that extra step let's get a bunch more lights, put them all around
the yard just to really spruce the place up. Alright check these lights out, been
all day putting them up. All individually controlled. Not quite the timing but it
looks sick anyway. And if that's not enough, walk with me. Sure. Ready? It's like the little later thing from Harry Potter. It could be a dance. Alright, walk with me, there's more.
You ready for this? Ready for this?
I didn't see that. We're gonna have to put that in slow motion. Are we rolling in slow-mo?
Yeah we are but it might have to be in speeding up because you look kind of slow still.
It would be over if we were on a track right now. I'm tying my shoes. Coach pull me in.
I was getting looks. Look at that. You see that drop back? Like Uncle Rico dawg.
You see that drop back? I'm kind of winded though can we just. Yeah yeah we'll cut that.
Yeah we can cut that.
Boy it looks nice out here.
So check this out guys here's the real
Green Goblin hoverboard.
Alright I think we're almost ready to go.
But before we do this I want to show off some inventions made by you guys,
projects you built and sent to me on my email or Instagram.
Run it.
Keep sending me those projects guys I love to see it.
I think it's pretty motivational to everyone watching this and me as well.
So keep it up. But it actually looks like we're gonna have an audience for this one.
This guy Thomas hit me up and wants to check it out.
This dude is making waves for sure.
Like he founded the Hype House. If you know anything about TikTok or you're 12 years old you probably know what that is.
So yeah this should be fun.
I mean who better to hype up this project than the Hype House.
Alright let's do it.
Let's first do a quick test without any of the bells and whistles just to see if I can fly at night.
First night trip.
Let's go.
How are we looking?
That was the coolest thing I've ever seen.
I was behind the camera and I think I missed the shot completely.
Because I was just like sitting there and my jaw was to the floor and I was like
out of all the things you've ever done which I've never really thought were cool.
That's fair I mean I understand.
This I thought I couldn't even believe.
Let's go.
I literally came away with chills.
Alright well everything seemed to work.
So let's set everything up and get everyone over here.
I used to DJ in high school.
We just pressed random buttons and just put it on aux.
Shit.
That's literally it.
I don't know how people do this.
Dude they're going to walk through that door and they're going to be like
they're going to see us practicing freaking TikToks.
Hit them with that Fortnite.
Yo how we doing?
This is Christian.
Hey how's it going man?
I'm Nikita.
Nice to meet you.
I'm Alex.
First we warmed him up with some of my other favorite projects.
Oh look at that form.
Just imagine people.
Wait this is fun.
Nikita's going to take all the balloons out.
Anyone else want to try before she pops them?
This is fun.
I want it.
How much to buy this?
Can I have one in pink?
I'm like in a candy shop right now.
What else can I pop?
Dude.
What is this?
That thing lets you climb up walls.
Does it work?
Well what can I climb?
But now it's time to fly for real.
So obviously this goes without saying but this is super dangerous.
And for entertainment purposes only.
Like these blasters are just toys.
We're going to be wearing laser goggles.
And taking a lot of safety precautions with this.
What are the odds we can get Calvin on that thing?
Off wire first and then see if you want to get on it.
Just for reference.
I'm a high school dropout and I make dumb videos with my friends.
He went to college.
It makes a f***ing hoverboard.
I saw your video where you were like I want to try it over water.
Yes I do.
What happens if it falls into the water?
How would you get your legs out of it?
There's a quick release.
There will be a quick release.
We got Leonardo in here.
Checking out the drone.
This thing is amazing.
The lights really pop out here.
Check this out.
You can draw with this thing.
See those balloons down there?
You can lock a target and pop them all at once.
You look like the green goblin.
He'd be jealous to have this thing.
So I think in the future it might be cool to be able to control the lasers and the blasters with my head movement.
So whichever way I'm looking the blasters turn and aim in that direction.
But overall.
Not bad.
We got a lot of stuff done.
Shout out to the Hype House for coming through.
And if anyone else wants to see this or any of my other inventions.
Hit me up.
Thanks for watching and we'll catch you in the next one.
Peace.
