st - stitch
sc- single crochet
sl- slip stitch
dc - double crochet
hdc - half double crochet
inc - increase = 2 sc in same stitch
sc2tog- decrease single crochet
[ ] - repeat instruction in parenthesis
dc2tog- decrease double crochet
tr-treple crochet
