Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel.
If you are new, my name is Monica
and I am so excited about today's video
because this will be my first fall decorate with me video
for the year 2022.
And I am switching the theme up just a little bit,
adding some bold colors.
I am in love with those jewel tones this season.
So that is what I'm going to be going with
in today's video.
I can't wait to share how everything turned out.
I'm just giving you a really quick overview
of the two areas of my home
that I'm going to be working with today.
I will be decorating the family room
and then I will also be adding some decor
here in the kitchen as well.
I hope today's video inspires you
and gives you a few decorating ideas for yourself
if you are looking to decorate for fall,
whether it is early like I am
or a month or two from now,
you can go ahead and save this video
and come back to it for later.
But I am just super excited about fall.
Fall is definitely my favorite season to decorate for.
I don't know what it is.
I think it's just that transition
from everything being super hot to cooling off
and all those beautiful shades of burgundy
and reds and oranges and all those beautiful fall colors
that come to life outside.

I am constantly posting new content over there
and sharing a ton of behind the scenes and decor ideas.
But let's just go ahead and get right into today's video.
Before I start decorating,
I am going to go through the bins
that I have left of my fall decor
and take out all of the pumpkins.
I am not ready to pull out the pumpkins yet
and add those to my fall decor.
I really wanna start with some florals
and maybe just some jewel tones
and some fall leaves here and there
and just kind of warm things up throughout my home.
And then later on, I'm gonna do another decorate with me,
adding more of the pumpkins
and maybe a little bit more fall decor.
So right here, I'm just going through my bins
and separating the pumpkins from my florals.
I know that decorating for the seasons
can be quite overwhelming for some of us,
including myself, and I really love watching videos
that are not only inspiring,
but extremely relaxing as well.
I know that ASMR is becoming very popular nowadays
and I am enjoying a lot of videos
that I am seeing out there.
I find them so relaxing and motivating at the same time.
One in particular is called the Slow Build
and it is actually on the Wayfair YouTube channel.
The Slow Build series is inspired by ASMR and Slow TV.
And you probably know Wayfair from their website
where you can find home decor products
that are perfect for you,
but you might not know about their YouTube channel.
What I love most about the Slow Build
is how relaxing it is to watch something
that might normally cause anxiety.
If you are looking for a show
with a step-by-step process of piecing decor together
that sets your mind at ease, motivates, and relaxes you
all at the same time, the Slow Build is perfect for you.
Go check out the full episode of the Slow Build
and subscribe to Wayfair if you want to stay up to date
on all of their great content.
I have included a link down in the description box.
You will not regret it.
So after clearing away some of my decor
that I previously had up here on my mantel
and then just a few florals that I had on my ottoman,
I'm going to start gradually adding some fall decor up here
and I wanted to go with some copper pieces
as well as some very pretty burgundy-colored leaves.
I really loved this little piece of china
that I had up here,
but I felt like it just wasn't flowing correctly,
so I did end up finding another copper piece
to add over here and I do believe I got that copper mug
at a thrift store, I want to say it was last year,
and I feel like it just fits in perfectly over here
and I am just loving the copper so much.
I really want to try and add more of that copper
into my kitchen, I just need to find a few more pieces,
but I am just really loving that really warm feel
that it brings, especially during the fall season.
Wanted to add just a tiny bit of color down here
by the fireplace and the sitting chair,
so I thought I would add a little basket
with some very neutral colors.
I wanted to go with that yellow and a little bit of cream
and I believe I found these at Hobby Lobby last season
and I love that they are not too overwhelming
and they don't exactly scream fall and it's just very subtle
and I just think it looks really pretty
and it also ties in with that tiny bit of yellow
that I do have up on my mantel.
Now that I have the mantel fireplace area
decorated how I want, I'm gonna move on into the kitchen
and just off of the kitchen,
kind of by the dining room table,
I have this beautiful hutch
and it has a lot of my milk glass in there right now,
but I want to clear that away and add some fall decor
and I had this idea to add this birdcage
that I recently found at Hobby Lobby,
so I am going to take out that top shelf
and as you can see, I just kind of set it off to the back
because you can't really take it out of the hutch
and I'm going to gently set the birdcage here,
right there on the center
and then I'm going to decorate it
with a little bit of a fall theme.
I was kind of sitting with this for a few hours
and the more I looked at this,
I felt like it needed something more in that birdcage,
but I'm gonna share that with you in just a few minutes.
First, I'm gonna clean up this mess and call it a day
and I'm gonna come back to everything the next day.
Sometimes doing all of this decorating in one day
can get really overwhelming,
especially if you have everyday things
that you do on top of that.
So here's the next day
and after giving it a ton of thought,
I decided that I should add more china here
inside the birdcage because I have that beautiful teapot
and I thought maybe adding some beautiful china plates,
teacups or a saucer and a creamer
might kind of make it flow a little bit better
and that is what I ended up doing
and I am so happy that I thought about it for a little bit
and decided to come up with this little idea
because it does look so much better.
Now we're gonna move on into the kitchen area
and I love decorating in here
and I only have to add some very tiny subtle hints of fall
in here to make a really big impact.
My kitchen isn't very big
and the more I add to what is already going on in here,
it just gets cluttered and it does get overwhelming.
So I'm going to try and just kind of switch out
a lot of that green that I have in here
and then I'm also going to share with you
how I made a little wreath to go just above my stovetop.
I love this little basket that I have
in this little pocket here that I have on my island
and I'm just switching out the greenery
for some fall leaves and fall florals
and I found the leaves and the florals
at Hobby Lobby just recently.
I recently found these glass amber bottles on Amazon
and I thought they would look perfect here
sitting on my sink and they also came
with some beautiful labels so that's what I'm doing here.
I'm just switching out my dispensers
for my dish soap and my hand soap
and I'm going to add them to a beautiful mirror tray.
I really loved the size of this wreath
and I was going to add it above my stovetop
but I wanted to add more of that burgundy color
and a few other florals to this
so I took some pics of florals that I already had
and added it to this wreath
and I felt like it looked so pretty
and it fits perfectly in here in the kitchen
and I just love how everything is looking
and I can't wait to slowly add more fall decor,
pumpkins and all and I can't wait to share that with you.
Well, that is it for today's video.
I hope that you all enjoyed it.
If you did, please be sure to leave me a thumbs up.
Make sure that you subscribe if you haven't already
and thank you so much for watching.
I cannot wait to share more upcoming videos with you
and I hope you guys all have an amazing day.
I will see you in the next one, bye.
