Hey guys and welcome back. If you're new here, I'm Hunter from Hunter's Designs,
and today is an exciting day because I get to share my brand new office makeover. I've been
working on this for two months now. I put together a mood board, I've been buying stuff, I've been
DIYing things for the room, and it is finally all done. So without further ado, let's get into it
because I can't wait to show you this cozy office makeover. I could not be more thrilled to be
finally sharing this office makeover with you. I thought I could finish it in one weekend,
but it actually ended up taking me two months, and a lot of it is because I just kept adding
and developing the design, so it just took a little bit longer. Mostly everything is from
Target, but of course I do have some thrifted items to keep it a little bit more on budget,
and I'm just so excited to share this with you because I couldn't imagine this office being
any better. I think later on I realized maybe I wanted to do something with the walls, but I just
honestly, I really liked how it was simple. It was so simple that when you're watching this, you can
do this. You can buy the desk, you can buy everything else that's coming in this video,
and you can have this same style in your own home, and I think that's what I like sharing about this
makeover with you is that it's totally attainable if you were to want to replicate the same design.
Because this is going to be my office, I wanted to make sure it was a great space for me to be
productive, and because I have so many thoughts running through my head all the time, I wanted
to get a dry erase board so that way I could just start planning and brain dumping, and I could do
it on paper, but paper is not big enough for this big old brain and all the thoughts I constantly
have. The good thing about Target is that everything naturally goes together, so I liked
how these magnets matched my lamp. Because I love this desk from Target so much, I got a second one
so I could make my own version of an L desk. I really didn't like the ones online, so I wanted
to just kind of make my own. In any makeover, if you don't find artwork that you like, you can
always make your own online. I used Canva to make mine, and then I just printed them out locally,
and then put them in these thrifted frames.
So
and for the corner nook, I really wanted it to be nice and cozy, because as I work day and night in
this office, John likes to hang out with me, so I wanted to get a chair that was equally comfortable,
and then also it matched perfectly with the color palette for this makeover. This one is actually
the new Studio McGee line, so I was really happy about that one. And then next, I got an olive tree
to go behind there, and olive trees, I love them. I mean, they're super trendy right now, and I
love that they're earthy, they just feel organic, and I think they're perfect for so many styles.
Now if you remember at the beginning of this video, I said I tried to tackle this makeover
in one weekend, and with that, I am such an impatient person. Instead of buying floating
shelves, I'm like, you know what? What scrap wood do I have in my garage? Let me make some shelves
real quick. So that's exactly what I did. So these are not like, you know, the best looking shelves,
but if you need some shelves in a jiff with minimal experience, then this was- actually,
I was really impressed with this.
Since I film a lot in this office, I wanted to have a nice backdrop, and I found this tutorial,
DIY with KB. I'll link her tutorial below. It's just such an easy way to make a frame and then
attach a drop cloth, and you can do spackle art, you can do really any art on it, and I've even
seen people use shower curtains. You can either use a basic shower curtain and paint over it,
or you can find a shower curtain with a pattern already, and it's just an easy way to give
yourself some large DIY art without having to pay for it. Did y'all know how expensive nightstands
can be? Like, it is a small table. Why are they ridiculously priced? Anyways, I digress. I, again,
went into my garage to see what scrap wood I had, and if you follow me on Instagram, I shared a
little bit behind the scenes of how I made this and a little bit of trial and error with this one,
but I actually really liked how it looked in the end, and as you can see, it was pretty easy to
create. And for the last piece of this makeover was mounting the TV,
and just huge shout out to our family who always help us with our makeovers.
So,
well, I really hoped you enjoyed seeing this office makeover come to life. I know that not
everyone has this much space to dedicate towards an office, work from home, school from home. I
will just say that if you liked this office and you liked the color palette that I went with and
you liked the items that I used, I did link everything below for you so that no matter
what space you're working on, if you still want to get the desk or if you want to get the rug or
the lamps, you can have that cozy feeling in your own space no matter even if you don't have your
own room. So, all of that will be linked down below for you. It does help out the channel if
you shop from those links, so if you liked anything, definitely use my links. It helps so much. And with
that, I have to start working on my next makeover that I'm gonna plan, but question of the video is
let me know down below what has been your favorite makeover from Hunter's Design so far. I'm really
curious because I myself cannot choose one. I really like this office makeover, but I also
really like the fireplace makeover. So, comment down below and let me know.
And with that, I will see you guys on the next video. Bye, guys.
