TODDLER Curly Hair Routine! | BiancaReneeToday

Hey curlfriends, I'm Bianca Renne, you're watching Bianca Renne today and today I'm finally giving you what you've been asking for, Jaylen's curly hair routine. Sorry I had to make you wait because he didn't really have much hair when he first came out so now we got some inches to work with. I'm going to show you how I wash it and style it. Let's get started. Now you could use something like this to put in the water and squeeze it out but I don't really want to put all this pink bath bomb stuff in his hair. So if you can, if you have the option to, if your shower or tub has one of these, definitely invest. It's just much easier to go like this and rinse versus just getting the tub water on him over and over again. Jaylen doesn't like this thing anymore so hopefully today's not too much of a fight. You ready? No. You ready? No. A big part of bath time is distraction, the art of distraction. So I have to wash all his toys first before I wash Jaylen. Okay here we go. No, no, no, no. Where are the turtles? Get the green one. Okay turtle, time to get clean. Woohoo! Good job turtle. What about the blue turtle? Come here turtle, time to get clean. Good job. Good job turtle. Wash, wash, wash, wash your tummy. And now it's Jaylen's turn. Good job Jaylen. Good job. Now it's time to clean the green turtle. Woo! And a little bit more for Jaylen. Good job. Now, I got to grab some... Shampoo. That's right. This is the Tubby Todd hair plus body wash, lavender and rosemary. We like this one and this one. One's apricot and passion fruit. I like both of them. You can't go wrong with Tubby Todd. They're made with very good ingredients. Hey. Say good. Good. Ingredients. And they're all, say, sulfate free. Free. Okay. We'll use this one today. One pump. Oh, rosemary. That's what it is. Natural avocado, mango, and cucumber extract. Hey, Jaylen. I had to turn you around. We're missing all your cute faces. Woo! Scoop, scoop, scoop. I'm spinning around. Perfect, Jaylen. Thank you. A little goes a long way. I probably used too much. I'm going to use some of my hair. Okay. Let's give Kanaka a little scalp massage. Increase the circulation. Encourage hair growth. But it's also for the body. So you can get the shoulders. Give Kanaka a little massage. And you can kind of start detangling. Get behind the ears while we're back here. Now, usually, I would think, like, okay, I don't want to do that. I want something that's for my hair and my body. But, it works well. Say cheese. Cheese. Watch this, whoop. Now you look like Jalen Youhoo. Bubbles. Blow. Thank you. Okay. Now that you look super cute as little Grinch. Sit down. Lemon and a drop of honey. Can you sing with me? Say splish and splash. Splish. Splash. Shampoo is tear free, so you don't have to worry about it. It's just being dramatic. Good job, you're doing it. Woo hoo. Good job. You did it. Thank you, Jalen. Now, it's time for. Shampoo. What's after shampoo? Conditioner. Conditioner, that's right. This is the Tubby Todd Conditioner Lemon Creme. Lemon creme. Natural aloe mango and cucumber extract. And, it's sulfate, paraben, silicone free. Per usual. This hair is pretty dry, so I use a good amount. And now, start detangling. I'm gonna go in an upward motion. I'll go on a farm. E-I-E-I-O, and on his farm he had a cow. E-I-E-I-O, with a moo moo here and a moo moo there. Here a moo, there a moo, everywhere a moo moo. E-I-E-I-O, good job. And on his farm he had a duck. Duck. E-I-E-I-O. A sheep. E-I-E-I-O, with a baa baa here, baa baa there. Here a baa, there a baa, everywhere a baa baa. Old MacDonald had a farm. E-I-E-I-O. That was beautiful. I'm gonna have a lion. A lion? On the farm? There, here a cluck, there a cluck, everywhere a cluck. Old MacDonald had a farm. E-I-E-I-O. Yay. Yay, good job. Good job, Jay. So after about 12 rounds of Old MacDonald, we start the detangling process. You could just finger detangle. I'm using a brush to make things a little faster. This one is called B-U-T-I-F-U-L. Say B-U-T-I-F-U-L. B-U-T-I-F-U-L. It's very similar to my favorite, which is the Be Careful brush, but a lot of you said that the spikes on there are a little too harsh on the scalp. So this one does have the boar bristles inside, but it's not as hard plastic, so it's more gentle. You wanna grab the hair, put it on your palm, so you're not pulling too hard and you're brushing it against your palm. And just let it, look at that, juicy curls. So just work in sections and brush on your hand. If you go like this, you're gonna yank too much. This kind of just lessens the tension so your kid doesn't hate you as much. But yeah, you could finger detangle if you want. I think this is faster. Yay time. Boom, boom. Jelly time. Boom, boom, boom. Jelly time. Careful, Jay. Jammie, jammie, jammie, jammie, jammie, jammie time. That's not how you sing it? That's not how it goes. How do you sing it? Can you teach me? Jammie time. Boom, boom, boom. Jammie time. Time for jammies. Okay, I think I got it. Jammie time. No. It's jammie time. Alright, so at this point, Jaylen's curls are all nice and detangled. You should be able to like slightly rub your fingers through it. If you feel any more knots, you can go back in and do another pass. Look at that moisture. Your hair's getting long. It's so pretty. Alright, and now the final battle. To rinse out the conditioner. It's so fun. Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do. Just keep swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim, swim, swim, swim, swim, swim, swim, swim. Hey, Jaylen, what sound does the whale make? It's okay. Do you want to hold my hand? Hold my hand. There we go. Thank you, Dada. Good job. And if you don't get all the conditioner out, it's not a big deal because it's just gonna be like a leave-in, extra moisture. We got most of it out. All done. Here are his curls, freshly washed, nice and moisturized, detangled. And now with style. Say, hi, Mommy. Hi, Mommy. Can I have a kiss? Thank you. So now we want to dry the curls, not with a regular towel. That'll make frizz. Say, no frizz. No frizz. So we use the perfect towel. And we just dry the curls just a little bit. Bye, pink water. Bye, bubble bath. See you next time. Okay. Now you're nice and clean. You look so cute. You look cute. Now let's style the curls. You want to apply your product while their hair is still damp. If you took too long, you can just get a spray bottle. This one's from Pattern. There's cheaper ones on Amazon. You can do a couple sprays. But his hair's still pretty wet. Now we're gonna add this one. Same color as the Triceratops. Shea moisture, coconut, and hibiscus kids. Curling buttercream, buttercream, buttercream. Slippery elm marshmallow extract. For thick, wavy, unruly hair. Anti-frizz. Want to smell it? Smell it, Triceratops. Now you smell it. Mm. As you can see, we use this a lot. His curls love this cream. Rubbing it together. And we smooth it in your curls. No, Triceratops, don't get dirty. Say, don't get dirty. Don't get dirty. And I'm just smoothing it all over the hair. I'm not gonna be the mom that finger coils every single curl. If you want to, go for it. But I just like to smooth. I'm a mama. And look. And they just, they go into place. So, you can focus it on certain areas by smoothing it down. If any part looks frizzy like this. Look at that before. Smooth it. And then after. I'm gonna smooth all the excess in my hand. Oh, your curls look beautiful. His ones in the back are definitely most frizzy. So, you might want to add some more product there because kids tend to do somersaults. They just lay on the couch even though their hair is wet. They don't wait for it to set like we do. So, the back is always most frizzy. I gotta figure out if they have satin baby sheets because his hair in the morning is crazy. This is what you want to see. Now, my new ingredient I've been adding on top of the cream is the Maui Moisture Curl Quench Coconut Oil Ultra Hold Gel. Whoa, jelly. Ew, you can't eat it. Grabbing another little dollop like so. Can I smell it, Tayden? Try it, Sierra's also wants to smell it. You want to smell? Let's see. Mmm. I can't taste it. It's for your hair. And then I'm just gonna do the same thing. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. More, more, more. This will give it hold. Kids need hold if they're going slow, if they're playing a lot. If you live in a humid area, you cannot skip this step. More, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more. Kids just need the gel because it'll hold.
