Mystery of the Atacama Desert glass

Can you imagine glass found in a desert? For centuries, locals and tourists have wondered how glass chunks were created in regions of the Atacama Desert. A new theory is that the glassy stretches were created by a comet that exploded in the region around 12,000 years ago. The airburst Atacama Desert theory has found support from some groups of scientists.
