RURAL SLOW LIVING / Misty Morning Silent Vlog / Life on a Farm
We live in a predominantly summer rainfall region, but we do have some showers at other times of the year as well. Something which provides moisture to the ground and when spring starts, the new growth that will appear, can be sustained for longer.
We had 45mm of rain about a week ago and because of the cold winter temperatures and lots of moisture, we had a beautiful misty morning. Something I love very much.
Join us for this beautiful morning as we go about one of the many farm duties. We will be checking in on the cattle.
You will see how we had to feed a newborn calf some extra colostrum to help strengthen it, in order for it to be able to stand up. It was born during the cold, wet night and somehow landed in the mud, couldn’t get up and became very cold.
Fortunately we found it in time and all is well again.
Hello,
My name is Elmirí and you are welcome to join me as I explore the workings of a more intentionally natural and seasonally sustainable way of life, better known as ‘slow living’.
Thank you for watching and hope to see you again on the next one.
