🎅 Fun & Easy Dollar Tree DIY Christmas Decor Craft Ideas 2020 | Dollar Tree Christmas DIYs 2020

Welcome everyone. My name is Jessica, and this is Simple, Cheap, and Easy DIYs. I'm going to start off by taking these tumbling tower blocks, and I am going to be using a hot glue for this for video purposes, but I do recommend a wood glue for a more permanent hold. But taking my glue, I'm just going to start gluing these blocks together, and I'm going to be using seven blocks for each side of the ladder, and seven blocks for the steps. As you can see here how I'm assembling this, it's probably easier just to watch than me describing it. And this is what it will look like once you have it assembled. I used seven blocks for the length of the ladder, and seven blocks for the steps, and two for the base. You'll actually want to make two of these, and once you have both of them made, then you'll want to paint them. And I used this bright red apple barrel paint, and I didn't apply it too heavy. That way a little bit of the wood actually still shows through. Once that paint's dry, I'm going to take my hot glue to the top of the ladder and glue these two pieces together in a v-shape. And I'm just going to apply a little bit more hot glue to the bottom to make sure that it has a secure hold. Here's what it will look like once you have the ladder fully assembled. Next, I'm going to be taking this little elf that I got at Dollar General, and I'm going to apply just a little bit of hot glue to his feet, as well as to his arm, just to glue him in place. And I'm going to glue him about halfway up the ladder. That way it looks like he's actually climbing up the ladder. Now taking these LED Christmas lights that I got at Dollar Tree, I'm actually going to be wrapping these lights around the elf to make it look like they're being carried up the ladder. Once I'm happy with the way I have the lights wrapped around the elf and the ladder, I'll just glue the battery pack to the bottom of one portion of the ladder. And just make sure when you glue it that you do glue it where if you need to change the batteries that it's still easy to change those, as well as to turn it off and on. Next, I'm going to take this second little elf that I also got at Dollar General, and just glue it to the opposite side of the ladder as a helper. And this actually does help cover up the battery pack to make it not noticeable as well. And here's the completed first project. For these next few DIYs, I'm actually not going to be doing a voiceover. I am just going to let some Christmas music play to help everyone get into the Christmas spirit. I do know it's a little bit early for Christmas, but I also know that everyone likes to start their Christmas DIYs early. So I hope you do enjoy, and I will continue with my voiceovers in my upcoming videos. Leave me a comment down below and let me know which DIY was your favorite. And now I'm going to go ahead and start the Christmas music, and again I hope everyone has a great day.
