All right everyone, welcome to a house tour. It's not my house, but it's even cooler. I got hit up by Josh Altman He's a pretty well-known realtor in the LA area on the show Million Dollar Listing We're gonna be doing a little car thing on his channel But for my channel, I get to take a look at a pretty cool house here Looks even cooler with these two cars parked out front of it It's got kind of like a modern but also Asian styling vibe to it at the same time I don't know how to classify it. I'm sure he'll do a better job phrasing it That rings the phone How are you? I'm doing great Thanks for inviting me. I appreciate it. Glad you were able to check this out. This is the Altman Brothers newest listing We're up in a nice little pocket called the Bird Streets up in the Hollywood Hills. This is the best of the best This is 4,200 square feet. We just hit the market eight million dollars so we're about two thousand dollars a foot and you'll be able to see why because you get the best of everything you get the Garage space for a big car guy like you you get the the pool the sexiness you get the view you get all of it So I'm pumped to show you guys and give you a tour. Awesome Okay, so what are some of the highlights because we need like a catchy right for the title of the video Yeah, for sure. Gotta be something awesome I like to call this the dojo because it's got a kind of Asian vibe going on with all the bamboo trees Different types of woods throughout. It's got a million dollar theater in it. Okay, and Which is pretty impressive. Yeah, but I'm gonna drop a million dollars on that theater You know, you want to watch a movie, right? Yeah, one of my favorite things about this house actually This is the first time I ever saw one of these things before it only works when you've a metal Can I just confirm for the camera? This hasn't it's not like preheated right now, right if I touch this, right? No touch it touch it. It's not even on yet. No, it's not on it's not even on yet How long we can get this cold water Boiling, so we're turning the heat on right now All right. So now it's on so this water where typically it would take Alex put a countdown timer Here we go and And it is officially boiling right Now, there we go. So that took about what seven eight seconds. That's bizarre Now the coolest thing about this is So you would think this is extremely hot, right? Yeah, it doesn't work unless it has the metal touching it So I'm gonna take this boiling water off You're gonna touch and nothing what it's nothing it's the same nothing as before okay, it's not Wait, it's room temperature. It's room temperature. But yet if I put this back on Wait, it's still going. Yeah, we knew it was on when we were touching it. Oh, yeah What? Boiling hot water Nothing I'm still horrified It's bizarre And it's best right eight million dollars right there You're getting a deal on this house. Anybody would pay at least seven and a half just for that All right. How do we top this? What's cool about the bird streets? Which you know people who up here they know but people who are not from here don't know it's super Star stud Leonardo DiCaprio lives a block away Keanu Reeves lives a block away You got different people on the top of their industries I mean, these are multi hundred million dollar guys and gals, you know, everything from tech wizards to Professional athletes to everybody that's who lives up here very young Hollywood. Also, that's what it's known for So I'd fit right in definitely. Oh, yeah, it's not a bad view Not a bad view at all. Sure. It's even better when you're in the pool And you guys want to come see this million dollar theater, come on, absolutely I just want to point out along the way that the living room just goes into the pool I don't don't step out too far someone better be paying attention if they're you know, having some drinks. That's why I closed For those of you like me who now have two kids This is not your most kid-friendly house For sure my wife and I would have to figure out something to be right here, but there's no question about the old me would be like Hey guys, and then fall right in be good for like a tick-tock clip or something. They'll pretend to fall in Anyway, welcome to the theater. Yeah, come on in here man. This is it. This is where it goes down So, you know a lot of people we sell houses that are I don't know, you know Five million ten million fifty million a hundred million and a lot of people always think the bigger theaters are better Mm-hmm. I actually love this theater. I think it's great because it's kind of cozy It's homey and you can sit in here, you know, you still have room for you know, seven of your friends in there But you can get lost in here once that door is closed You know You don't know if it's day or night and you just sit in here and the speakers in here are insane The sound if you want to really go there will just blow your eardrums. I mean, it's loud This looks great for just like a recording room because it's all it's got the sound padding on there well, I'll take it out and I'll just Put in my my computer here. That'd be a waste. I mean that could be cool I mean is this thing on is the sound on because it sounds awesome right here. I mean, can you turn on the sound? Listen, I sell the houses. I don't know how to A lot of these houses get set up Before I come in because a lot of times I'll be rolling up with the client and the first impression is the most important Thing I mean if you could lose a sale within the first five seconds of showing a house So that's why we literally have people that walk through set up the houses. So when we roll up it's on except for today Dude, I'm at like an I pick theater right now Once you hit that like six seven million dollar plus house They all have a couple different things that you feel like are on the check slip checklist Theater is definitely one of them. Yeah, we have about a billion dollars worth active listings at all times Good lord, they're all you know different areas different style different feeling throughout. This one's one of my favorite When I hit the market originally back in the day, it was it price is about 14 million dollars Right now we're hitting the market the third time around because it's been sold a few times for 8 million So it is a deal. This is cool This is your epitome of the infinity pool the current owner grew this foliage up because you want to privacy But if you cut that down when you're in the actual pool you're sitting here you have a straight-on view Yeah, I'd trim it down. Yeah, I'd have to yeah, I would all about the view. It's a little hangout area over here Really windy a couple days ago. Yeah, I was we're not in LA. What's that crazy for trees blowing down? Oh, yeah I tried to yeah This is the best you walk through the shower you sit in your sauna you hang out here you hit the pool you hit the hot Just makes you want to be healthy and work out. Is it actually like a stove? Yeah, that one though. I Expected everything in this house is safe for me. Okay deal-breaker. I thought at first I'm like wait Is that a mirror through the shower? No, you just walk straight through the thing Yeah, I'm so bad at like just taking time to Relax, so maybe if I had something like that it motivate me to Focus you got some more on me. Yeah, I'm bad at doing that though when you work from home It's like you just want to go 24-7, right? I try to keep my work away from my house now just because you know with the kids and all that's kind of my Sanctuary when I try to put the phone down I didn't put the phone down for about 15 years So in that period we sold about almost four billion dollars with a real estate. Oh just a bit Yeah, yeah, you wouldn't be where you are though if you hadn't exactly put that time in though listen I feel like there's moments in your life that are made to grind and I said a long time ago with my brother Who's my partner? I said listen for the next 10 or 15 years. Let's put our head down We're gonna miss out on a lot of things But when we're done and we come up for air then we'll be able to do all the things we want to do on our time That's how we got here. Let's go up. Let's go. All right the master So yeah, it's a u-shape and what's cool is this is all master. This is if you live here This is your living over here. Everything else over here is the guest quarters But over here is just your master living, okay These are one of those lights were like, I don't know what's going on. No, what kind of always press the top Yeah, but here's the best view. There you go. That's the money shot over there. So you got you got the Soho house Which is pretty cool right there, right? They denied me what's that they denied me to really This is the master floor everything up here obviously master you got the master bedroom Yeah, you got the fireplace and you got the two of us who got the memo wearing all black For today's that's just the attire I guess man. That's what I always wear. This is a closet This is the most open closet I've ever seen in my life How do I look guys is this the outfit for the night I like the open feeling if you wanted to you could put A curtain there in the meantime, this is an amazing closet for any clothing collector clothes. Oh, and then it loops back around the bathroom Wow, check this out. This is One of those massage type of showers Just in case you're feeling like you don't know that showerhead today. You use that one Are there three there are three knobs? Yeah, I turn all three on you got to take advantage of that for sure We've seen some crazy things Dude sometimes I'd like see images and listings of showers and there's just like a wall of knobs and I'm like How do you even know what to do anymore? That's been a hundred thousand dollars on the showerhead which is insane the showerhead on the shower. Yeah, you buy a nice new Porsche 911 It's more functional than my bathtub because my bathtub has the entry from the ceiling and it Goes down and splashes all over. Oh, yeah Yeah, it's uh, it looks really cool, but not very practical Yeah, funny like some of these things that looks so cool, especially in a lot of these modern houses You think they're amazing and then you actually you know live in it and you change the whole it just doesn't work It's good thing. I don't really take baths. So we're okay That's like a an aura that people give off Bath guy or not bath guy. So you got to be careful again if you're drinking with your friends you're hanging out You know, it's maybe Scott. Yeah, it may not be the most It's very dojo feeling I like it it's peaceful. It's got cool water features. You're having some friends over you having a party This is where you eat cuz LA that's what it's all about man It's all about outside indoor outside living that it is So you're looking at a lot of cool real estate right here that house that's being finished right now actually It's gonna hit a market of 60 million dollars. Oh, that's the type of real estate that you're surrounded by That's the type of real estate that's in the first streets Every house is super unique every house is special and every house is pretty expensive, right? I mean this eight million dollars So for somebody buying this who's watching number one call me up and I'd be happy to sell to you But number two is you got to have at least let's call it 25% right? So you're looking at almost two million dollars putting down That's what you need for something like this The rest would be a mortgage of six million and that would be a monthly payment of let's just call it $30,000 that's what it takes to buy a house like this plus your property tax of 1.25 percent You can tell property owner. Yeah, so this is cool because there's a separate entrance and a door That's kind of hidden that allows you to have this guest house now It does open up to the pool as well But most people don't even know that this is here once they're inside of the house doubles as a perfect gym Which is what it used to be But also you've got a nice second master upstairs as well. I think it should have stayed at gym So right sometimes you just like it's late at night and equinox closes Super early and you want to be able to get your workout in second master, which I like this master Very nice now, this is very typical of the Hollywood Hills right here. I know you're thinking Oh my god, look at how close these houses are But the streets are narrow the houses are close together. Yep, and that's just the way it is up here So if you don't like it You just won't be looking for a house up here because then you'll probably save some money at it at the same time Yeah, you million dollars back. I sold both of those pieces of land. It was just a mountain Okay, I sold that one on the right for five million just the dirt Jeez I'm watching a house that's going up right next to mine right now and just the amount of engineering that goes into Setting up the hillside. I don't know how they do it. Like they've dug down basically 25 30 feet to a flat patch down from the street. They have the caissons going in. They just reached the base I'm just like how they gonna eat the bulldozer out of the thing It's got to be like a vertical hill that they go back up. I don't get it go down. Some will go down 75 feet The I mean the engineering that goes into these houses It's amazing and people have no idea all they see is the finished product But if you're actually in it and you understand it the millions of dollars that go into houses before they're actually even built Yeah is it's insane. So come on in here So this closes you have no idea this guest house even exists right and there was an entrance over there You would like this because you're a car guy I just negotiated a deal It was an 18 million dollar sale and I negotiated two Rolls Royces that were in the garage as part of the deal Okay, that's pretty cool. Yeah, so do they get a slight discount because they packaged it in I'd be honestly I think they overpaid actually but it's because it's already there and These houses everything is for sale everything. Sure You know, I've negotiated art Vacation homes like when they were buying one home. They bought the home and the owner had a vacation home so they said we'll buy this but we also want like four weeks in your Aspen house as Part of the like every year just a one-time thing that one was a one-time thing. We've negotiated boats with houses art I mean everything you can think of all this stuff is for sale always so when you get lots of egos even your soul Oh, I sold that a long time You don't ever know what type of buyers gonna come through here, but I could imagine that it probably would be a bachelor of some sort Potentially some overseas money Which is what we see a lot of over here as well Could be some tech money, which is really the the market is super strong for tech money coming into LA right now A lot of techies spending a lot of money In fact, well, you guys know the Minecraft guy spent what 70 million dollars on a house. Yep, just up the street Actually, it's about two blocks away. I've been there once. It's a very cool house. It's insane Yeah insane. So this is it 4200 square feet Sierra Mar bird streets best of the best all my brothers listing I assume that this will probably be sold within 60 days, which is the typical days on market for us with houses up here I appreciate the walkthrough man.
