Matt invited Daryl and myself up to ride his yard, so how could we say no! He also put £100 on the line for a first run contest! Thanks for having us Matt!

Hey, here we go.
Here it is then, the world famous. The backyard lockdown trails. Possibly the
most famous backyard on the internet right now. New rolling. Here it is. Whale tail.
Would you have built it like that? I mean, I like it. It's quite short, isn't it? Yeah,
it's one bike length. It looked quite short in the video. It's like a whale. The whale tail for
ants would like to go big. It's quite wet. There it is. Yeah, it's really wet, but also it looks
like kind of perfect, or is it a bit too wet? I needed wet. Needed some rain, didn't it? Yeah.
And it is warm today. It's quite soft, but it stopped raining three minutes before Sam arrived.
No chocolate mousse. Chocolate mousse. Look at it. This is sick, man. Do you like it? Well,
I kind of knew it looked like this because I've watched the videos, but obviously in real life,
it's way cooler. Is it actually? Yeah, yeah. It's much bigger in real life, like everything
obviously is. Yeah. You brought all the dirt in, didn't you? Wheelbarrow all the way down.
I haven't actually watched any videos for a few weeks, clearly, because there's way more jumps
here than I remember. Well, I won't put it up yet. This is like a real jump here, isn't it?
Oh, this is the one with the fridge in the back.
You're empty. A little gnarly in there. Hey, Mr. Mousse. Did you ever jump this thing just
straight or did you just flip it straight away? Oh, yeah. That's really cool. But it works good
to flip. Do you have any speed for the next jumps or not so much? Not enough for that,
for the hip, but that's why I've built a racer. I'm hoping to be in the racer, but I'm actually
more doubtful about that. Sick. You've crammed so much into, not a small field, obviously,
but like a small area. There's an awful lot of jumps. That's the Darkfest shark fin. Sick.
Scaled down 400 times. Beautiful. I heard there's a first run challenge going on. 100 pounds.
No one's done it so far. No one's one banged it. Technically, I haven't because we built it jump
by jump. So I'd say if you get to here first run. So you get 100 pounds if you get to here.
Yeah, everyone. I think it should be whoever gets through first run gets to take over Matt's
Instagram for a week. Yeah, it's really cool to see all the hard work that's gone into over the
last few months. Watching it come along in the videos and see all the blood, sweat and tears
that's gone into it. And now here they are in all their glory and we get to ride them.
So Matt's come up with a challenge. Apparently, his jumps are so difficult
that if either of us get through first try, he gives us 100 pounds.
We're absolutely going to try. That'll pay for the track day fuel.
Oh, and I got a £100 fine earlier for not having a number plate on my car.
So if it happens, I'll break even. You can earn your fine back with a bit of
dirt jumping. There you go kids. Do crime as long as you're good at biking is what we're saying here.
Oh no, that's not what we're saying. Just have a number plate on your car actually.
But first, a few laps on the pit bike track.
Yes. That's hard that one, isn't it?
Yes. Let me get a slow mo. Went so fast and missed the whole landing.
Really nice. That's enough pit biking on Matt's jumps then.
My wrist hurts, that's my second excuse. My hand's still bad from pit biking. I've
got smelly knee pads on, which is like not helping.
I had to get up quite early as well today to fix my car.
Yeah, I've got a headache from travelling hundreds of miles.
Yeah. Anyway.
Yeah, so they've arrived. Sam Reynolds, Daryl Brown, both professionals.
In the loosest possible way. Matt said if we come and get through his jumps first try,
he said no one's ever done it, we get £100 or something.
Yeah. Why don't you bump it up to £139,
then it covers my track day. Oh, good idea.
From seeing them on the internet, I was like, well, yeah, for sure you just come and do
them first go. But now I'm here, I'm like, oh, there's actually no way you can get through
there. I don't even know where the track goes. They're going to just sort of fly off a takeoff
the wrong direction and then crash into a berm or something.
I'm actually going to watch your old YouTube videos actually, one by one for the next 20
hours. The spine looks tricky.
If you land at the top of the spine landing, you'll get through. Roller, racer, el grande,
the great right shark, and then the shark fin.
The great right shark. Very clever.
Very good.
Like I wouldn't say it was easy, but I would say it was doable.
But definitely doable.
I'm going to go to the hip because that looks like the tricky area. So I'm going to watch him.
Yeah, three guys each then.
Oh God, he barely did it himself.
I'm going to say now if it's this windy when I'm dropping him,
no way you're going to get through first go.
Nice Matthew.
I'll be honest, there's a massive headwind.
Massive, it's like tornado James is coming from somewhere.
So I might not be losing this.
No, you might not.
Good luck mate.
So impressive.
That was so windy as well.
Yeah, the headwinds like on the racer.
Wow.
How do you feel?
I think that wasn't really, that doesn't really show my skill.
I'd say that shows how good the jumps are really.
I'm like a bit of a passenger to be honest.
You haven't focused that hard on anything since 2015.
I've not. It felt like there's money on the line.
It's windy. It just felt like 26 tricks again.
Well done you.
Shame.
Wow.
Shame, but cool.
Thanks Matt Jones YouTube.
Yes.
Go on Darren, I've got 100 left.
Here he is.
Here we go.
Rapid.
Well done.
That's an expensive day Matthew.
I'd say they were very good jumps.
Well done Mr Matthew and Mr Ben.
Very good.
Well done.
First go, both of you.
Are we allowed to ride it more?
Yeah, let's ride more.
Wow.
Blame it on the wind Darren, it is bad.
Okay.
That's quite slippy that landing.
I'm totally fine.
100%.
Oh, the knuckles.
You made up for it.
Made up for it with the 360.
That was the run.
Yes Ben.
It's too close, isn't it?
What'd you think then?
Good?
Yeah, really good.
Yeah.
As good as they look.
I'm not that stoked about the loss, but I'm stoked you liked the jump.
Kind of in a way, it's like you could only lose or you could only win.
Whichever way you look at it, either you lose the money and you have good jumps.
And you know that your jumps are really good, yeah.
Oh yeah.
Or you keep the money and your jumps might be really difficult.
Okay, it's cost me 200 quid to prove to all of you guys that these jumps work,
are accepted on a global level.
There you go.
These guys compete around the world.
You'd have hoped they got through and they did.
