Garden Topiary // Single Ball // Euonymus & Yew

This has a haircut and I haven't had a haircut for, I counted, 16 weeks. 16 weeks I'm desperate for a haircut. My hair's getting longer and longer and longer. I have two weeks to wait. I finally have an appointment. Amazing. To tackle this, euonymous. I'm just going in. It was a nice tight little ball when I got here. Actually, as I'm doing this, I can see some sort of powdery stuff coming off. So I think I'm going to spray this with my powdery mildew mix. I've noticed that before. I think the idea is to have things in a tight, tight rather than loose form. Maybe something powdery. So I'm going to put my powdery mildew mixture on. It really, really works for my honeysuckle. I don't know if you saw my honeysuckle video. It was marvellous. Made it all glossy. So I think that's what it needs. It's rained so much. I'm coming in and above you. But you know what, I like weeding. Right, that will do. About time that went. Next one is this one. This is another euonymous. This has been here for years. Very old, this one. I'm just literally going to slice across that and show you that one. Okay, so that's that one all done. Next on the list is this one. And this is a yew. Now I've got to be careful with this little plant here. I think this is working out well, this. My new little dust sheet maker. It doesn't get it all. But it gets a lot of it. These have got very long bushes. They're very nice plants. I've had this one a long time. In fact, I had a whole row of these. Probably, I don't know, seven or eight years ago. A big row. And this is the only one that has survived. All the others died. Give you a haircut, my old friend. Okay, so that's this one. All done. There was actually a lot of stuff growing on the trunk of the plant as well. Which was quite difficult to get rid of. So that's all the topiary done. Actually, that's not true. Because there are two more euonymous that I need to do. But it's all more of the same. And they're quite straightforward. They are the ones that I cloud pruned way back in February.
