Hello Brandon, I'm Scott Green with Global Expedition Vehicles. We're going to talk
about our new division called the Adventure Truck. So what we do, we start out with a Ram
or Ford 5500 series chassis. Instead of taking a pickup, we're taking a cabin chassis that's a
19,500 pound GVWR and we're adding the body to the back. This truck weighs under 15,000 pounds,
so I have about 5,500 pounds of payload. Once we get the truck, we lift it five inches,
we add performance shocks to it, add adjustable four-link stabilizer,
then we add the military-grade 20-inch wheels and the military-grade Goodyear G275 40-inch
335-80 tires. We use AEV components for the fender flares, a snorkel and the front winch
bumper with a 16,500 pound winch. We custom build the rack that you see on top is hand-built from
aluminum at our facility in Springfield, Missouri. So what we're doing with the Adventure Truck is
we're creating an autonomous off-grid vehicle. This vehicle here has 650 watts of solar panels
that charge 400 to 800 amp hours of lithium-ion batteries. All the systems inside, including the
refrigerator, microwave and refrigerator, operate off the electric except for the diesel heat system
that will run, will heat the air, the fresh water for the sink and the wet bath without
running the main diesel engine in the truck. So I can live in sub-freezing temperature
using very little energy. The brains of it, we use all marine-grade electric and PEX plumbing
components. That is an iso-temp instant hot water heater. So as long as I have power to the system
or the diesel engine is running, I have instant hot water. I've got 400 amp hour lithium-ion batteries
with a area for a second. Lithium-ion batteries are a 10-year battery instead of three or four.
They can be used at 90 percent amperage instead of 50 for the lead,
and they charge three times faster. So with this, as long as I have solar, I have the shore power
connector, I can run the diesel engine, I can keep the whole thing running or not freezing in cold
temperatures. So we're one of the few companies that on our body we offer outside storage.
This is a molded door, which is heavy, very heavy duty with the closed cell foam,
and I have compartments under body all the way around the vehicle.
So this is the inside of the Adventure truck. We take a 12 and a half foot body, and it's a
pre-molded design. So the wet bath, the bed, the kitchen, and the dining area are all in a
pre-determined position. This allows us to keep standardized pricing. The 92-gallon water tank,
freshwater gallon tank, is underneath the bed, and by being inside the insulation, that'll keep
that from freezing. We do a 54 by 80 mattress, which is an extra full-size bed. And then I have
an AC air conditioner that would be above the bed, and that will run off the solar panels
for extended periods of time, depending on your ambient temperature.
The wet bath is all combined, and that is a swivel cassette toilet. So with the cassette
toilet, I don't have to hook up to an RV waste station. Now it's not installed, but in the back,
I can put an electric washer unit in that back cabinet to wash your clothes. We're big on storage.
We take quality pretty seriously, and you'll see that all of our cabinetry, which we built
in-house with a CNC machine, is very heavy-duty. It's composite laminate, and I can either do
shelves, and I can do a hanging closet inside of here. I've got storage below the bed. Now,
you saw the back compartment. This storage goes all the way to the side of the body. Behind this
is the 92-gallon fresh water tank, and behind that, you saw the wall where all the plumbing
and electric is. The microwave, refrigerator, freezer all run off the electric battery.
Master volt control panel, this is where I can check the levels of all the things
happening, including the solar and the battery levels.
