Catriona? This is her highlight from Miss Universe 2018. Oh, cool. We haven't reacted to any Miss Universe stuff on this channel yet. So this is a nice door opening for us. I love that suit. Hey! What? Nice! I wonder where she has a black belt in. Probably Taekwondo. It could be Kali, I don't know. I'm really curious. We gotta look her up. You look really good. That's a beautiful gown. It's kind of cool. She's got a great walk. Like a cat. Kill it, baby girl. Yes! Philippines! Is that Steve Harvey? Wait, is this... No, this is not the year when he actually announced. I think that was 2016 or 15. I think she was Columbia. Was it that? 2016! I thought you were happy to see me. Yes, I'm happy. Philippines loves me. If you were going to write a song about your experience here in this universe, what would you call it? Well, you know what, Steve? As a Miss Philippines, I've always felt the love and the support of the Filipino people. Raise your flag, because I stand here not as one, but as a hundred. Thank you, Philippines! That's a great answer. Yeah. Working in some of the poor areas of my country, I found that it was a lack of child support, not poverty that killed their dreams. A child once told me, that's just not my life, and those dreams aren't meant for me. But I stand here today because someone believed in me, and we owe it to our children to believe in them. Anybody that wants to help children, I fall in love with. Philippines! Is this when she made it? Once I started music, it just was fulfilling in a way that everything else wasn't. My mom told me that even when I was in the womb, I was dancing along to music. I'm an only child. I'm very, very close to my parents. Especially my dad. He would always say the longest journey starts with a single step. When you have a dream or an ambition, and it's so far away, and it's so high up, it can be overwhelming. But when you look at it as just one step at a time, one day you're going to look up from your feet and you'll be at your destination. So that's a piece of advice for my dad that I feel I'm going to apply my whole life. Philippines! Wow, that's cool. It's a highlight reel. I remember that outfit, the swimsuit. Is this different? I don't remember the cape though. Yeah. It's such a pretty suit. She has a really great catwalk walk. She would do really well in a fashion show. She has an actual catwalk. Is that what it's named after? Catwalk, yeah. You walk like a cat. And spot number three is Philippines! The first finalist with a chance to take the Miss Universe crown is Yeah, Puerto Rico and Vietnam. Philippines! Oh, look at that. They were right next to each other in Puerto Rico and Vietnam. I'm Puerto Rican, Albert's half Vietnamese. Philippines, please join me. I like his suit. He looks great. Everybody always looks so good on me. Okay, get ready. Here is the question. What is the most important lesson you've learned in your life and how would you apply it to your time as Miss Universe? That's a good question. I work a lot in the slums of Tondo, Manila and the life there is very poor and it's very sad and I've always taught myself to look for the beauty in it, to look in the beauty in the faces of the children and to be grateful. And I would bring this aspect as a Miss Universe to see situations with a silver lining and to assess where I could give something, where I could provide something as a spokesperson and this I think if I could teach also people to be grateful we could have an amazing world where negativity could not grow and foster and children would have a smile on their face. My heart would be beating out of my chest if I was competing for Mr. Universe. Do they? I don't know. I'm pretty sure Steve Harvey quadruple checks every single thing now. This was after, right? This was after the big pickup. He announced the raw country. She reminds me of I'm blanking on her name. I'm always scared that that crown How do they secure that crown? I think they pin it. Are there actual jewels on that crown? I always think of Mean Girls when she breaks the crown. It's just plastic. Not the Miss Universe crown. No, in Mean Girls. It's just plastic and she breaks it. Mean Girls is so funny. Now this is going to bug me. Now I'm really curious if maybe someone has an answer for me because I was always under the impression that Kapun Kap is a tie. You say thank you in Thai. She said that when she was obviously this is a highlight reel so I wonder if that question had anything to do with Thailand or does Kapun Kap apply to the Philippines too? I feel like it's not something that you would say in Tagalog. I don't know how to say thank you in Tagalog so I have no idea. Can you let us know how you say thank you in Tagalog? I could just call Angelica or Myron and be like I have a lot of Filipino friends. Well we both do but they're my friends. And then I have my own Filipino friends as well. And then you are all of our friends as well. So we have very many Filipino friends. I drank all of my kombucha. Those outfits and those girls are so beautiful. Yeah, that's fun to watch.
