You've probably heard about Dan Bilzerian, the grown-up version of Richie Rich.
With 32.4 million Instagram followers, it's hard to deny his place on the throne.
Most of you who follow him probably even have a glimpse of his lifestyle, which seems out
of this world to people like you and me.
He basically goes out to say that he's cooler, his life is richer, his girls are prettier,
and more importantly, that he's richer.
This guy is loaded.
In today's video, we'll be taking a look at the rich life of Dan Bilzerian and how
he spends his day-to-day life.
We'll also be revealing whether he really is who he really claims to be, a business
mogul.
Let's take a look at the life of Dan Bilzerian.
Before we start, make sure you like and subscribe to our channel.
Also, don't forget to turn on the bell for the latest notifications and updates.
With that said, let's begin.
The Crazy Things Dan Bilzerian Owns
Like we said, Dan is swimming in luxury.
From his $1.5 million Brabus Mercedes G63 to his $2,500,000 Rolls-Royce.
If that doesn't make you feel poor, how about his two pet goats, Beatrice and Zeus,
rumored to be worth $3.6 million.
Certainly, Dan Bilzerian owns one of the weirdest pets out there.
Besides, he also owns a private jet, luxury villas, and much more.
So, how did Dan Bilzerian earn his millions to own these luxuries?
Many people in the poker world know Dan Bilzerian for his highly contested claims that he amassed
his fortune by playing in ultra-high stakes games.
Not only that, Dan was born into money.
His father, Paul Bilzerian, was a corporate takeover specialist.
He also owned a robotics company, among other investments.
He joined the corporate takeover scene in the 1980s with hostile bids for certain companies.
These bets often paid off for him and his investment partners.
And soon, friendly suitors came in with higher offers.
In the case of Singer Co., a Connecticut manufacturer, Mr. Bilzerian took over the company in 1988
and became its chairman.
Mr. Bilzerian, however, was convicted in 1989 for a fraud conspiracy and making false statements
to the SEC.
He paid a $1.5 million fine and drew a prison sentence, initially set for years.
But Mr. Bilzerian only served 13 months.
That didn't stop Dan from living a comfy life.
Dan and his family lived in an 11-bedroom mansion that was half the size of the Buckingham
Palace, with its own indoor basketball court, gym, a movie theater, lakefront views and
swimming pool.
Many of his financial exploits are open on his Instagram page for the world to see.
But there's some things he never shows or talks about.
We'll be revealing some crazy STEM stuff you probably didn't know besides the luxurious
lifestyle he lives.
His attempt to join the armed forces.
Dan initially tried to join the Navy SEALs entering the program after finishing high school.
But after a bunch of failed attempts, he was dropped just two days before graduating.
And the reason for him being dropped?
Safety violations on shooting grounds.
Following going broke during his sophomore year at the University of Florida, Dan's brother
Adam taught him to play poker.
Dan had to sell some of his possessions, mainly guns, for $750.
Using that money, he gambled on a boat until he was up to $10,000.
With that $10K, he went to Las Vegas and played for three straight weeks at the Bellagio until
he made $187,000.
These are his claims and it can't be proved.
However, we are impressed at how good he is at making money.
Dan Bilzerian competed in the 2009 WSOP Main Event and finished in the 188th place, winning
$26,626 in his only recorded live tournament win.
Winning only $26,000 doesn't exactly speak well of his poker skills.
Now Bilzerian claims to only play private cash games with non-professionals.
Unfortunately that setup doesn't allow anyone to track his winnings or his income.
So we're pretty much going by his word.
As to his poker skills, Bilzerian alleged on Twitter that in November 2013 he won $10.8
million in a single night of poker and $150 million throughout 2014.
However, because Bilzerian also claims that he no longer plays against professionals,
all of these claims are uncontested but not corroborated, so draw your own conclusions.
I never wanted to be the guy on TV showing everybody how good I was, Bilzerian said.
I wanted to be the guy that people thought sucked and I could play with the rich guys.
It was that one thing in my life that wasn't about ego, it was about a bank account.
Bilzerian said he even went out of his way to avoid associating closely with poker players
just to ensure that the celebrities and business people in the underground games he frequented
wouldn't think he was a strong player.
Those are some statements that really make us suspicious about his winnings in underground
poker.
But wait, that's not all.
In 2013, Dan sponsored his friend and fellow poker player, Jay Farber with $2,000 to enter
an event.
Farber ended up placing second in the event.
He gave Dan $1 million of his winnings, that's a cool return on investment.
Maybe Dan is good at business rather than poker.
In addition to his poker playing, he has also appeared in the films Olympus Has Fallen,
Lone Survivor, The Other Woman, and Equalizer.
He actually helped to fund the movie Lone Survivor with $1 million and demanded at least
one scene and 80 words.
After the movie came out, the scene was cut to less than one minute, with just one quick
line of dialogue.
He sued but cancelled once he saw a $1.5 million return on the back end.
Dan and Instagram
Today Dan is known mainly due to his extravagant lifestyle on Instagram.
But he wasn't even interested in becoming an Instagram star.
He only joined Instagram thanks to a girl he was out on a date who became ecstatic about
getting 100,000 followers.
Getting started in 2014, his account quickly climbed to 1 million followers and by 2015
he had already amassed 6 million followers and was being crowned King of Instagram.
Mansion
Dan Bilzerian owns a Bel Air mansion that is reportedly worth $250 million.
The property is 38,000 square feet and has 12 bedrooms, 21 bathrooms, an infinity pool
and even a helipad.
And hear this, the world's largest residential television.
It took a team of 300 people and 4 years to build.
You think that would satisfy a man.
But not Dan.
He purchased another 9,400 square foot house in Las Vegas.
This house is secured with a gun vault that can hold 1,000 guns, underground parking and
a built-in backyard grill.
Guns
Speaking of guns, this is one thing Dan seems to like most, it seems.
He got his first gun when he was 6 and he got arrested in high school for bringing his
M16 machine gun to school in the trunk of his car.
He once wrote to an Instagram caption that said,
My greatest fear is that someone will break in and I won't be able to decide what gun
to shoot them with.
Nice.
Apparently, on September 4th, burglars broke into Bilzerian's house, spray-painted the
cameras, and headed straight to the gun vault.
Thankfully, he had a top-of-the-line security system and the police were there within minutes.
Cars
We also know Dan is passionate about his cars, and by the amount he spends on them, it's
hard not to see why.
He's got a 1965 Shelby Cobra worth $2 million, a Rolls-Royce that can hit 249 mph worth $250,000.
His most glamorous car, though, is the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster worth $300,000 with a license
plate Mr. Gold.
Cannabis
Dan first smoked when he was 6.
He developed a love for cannabis, so much so that he founded a cannabis company called
Ignite International Brand.
According to their Instagram page, it's making cannabis sexed and cool, and focuses more
on lifestyle than the product itself.
It's also a Canadian brand, since cannabis is legal in Canada.
He definitely makes a couple more million from the company.
Whether it is luck or business strategy, Dan Bilzerian has built a lifestyle many men strive
to achieve.
