A practitioner suffers due to death and finally gains enlightenment through the impermanence of life Lust is not the village of restraint yet it has easily led many heroes and valiant men astray from ancient times until now Especially for those who cultivate it is self-restraint not to be taken lightly and must be eliminated Long ago a young ascetic was traveling to the city of Hua Yuan when he met a beautiful young woman He became so distressed that he started punching a sickness that had long been present leaving him bedridden all day not eating or drinking anything His fellow students all came to visit him witnessing his disheveled and troubled state and each one became worried Then this young practitioner finally expressed the pain in his heart Fellow students although everyone knew he was pining unrequitedly could do nothing but offer empty words of comfort But he did not really listen to those advices so his fellow disciples decided to tell the Buddha about it After the Buddha realized the faith he unexpectedly spoke to this young practitioner Don't be so sad go have some rice and rest I will definitely help you your wish will be fulfilled Everyone was very surprised by the Buddha's approach The young practitioner was overjoyed his spirit noticeably uplifted He left the monastery with the Buddha after eating and drinking Buddha loved singing and led his disciples to the girl's house As they reached the girl's house they heard heart-wrenching cries coming from inside When asked it turned out that the young woman had already passed away three days prior The parents overcome with grief did not prune the plum tree causing the body to emit a foul smell a most pitiful sight The Buddha kindly advised the young practitioner As for the woman who was drunk her current state is like this Remember also that all things are impermanent arising and ceasing like waves in the ocean fleeting and impermanent impossible to wait for Only a fool judges by appearances Because they do not know the truth they suffer great sorrow Seeing beauty the mind becomes enchanted and cannot maintain composure in the face of impermanence Destroying oneself with lust is no different than binding oneself The wise person seizes the opportunity and decisively eliminates all suffering If one indulges freely in lust becomes engrossed in sensual pleasures and is lost in love it is no different from entering a prison Only those with awakened inner wisdom and who have severed desire can break through the traps of wealth and lust completely ending the suffering of birth and death Because the young practitioner saw the decaying body of the girl and heard the Buddha's compassionate teaching he suddenly woke up and realized the truth He fell to the ground in tears paying homage to the Buddha expressing his remorse Then he followed the Buddha back to the monastery practiced diligently and finally attained the highest enlightenment For cultivators lust is the gate of death that everyone must pass through Buddha Shakyamuni also taught that the greatest source of suffering in the world is the power of desire The most terrifying force is also the power of desire The disciple became addicted to the fragrance of the beautiful woman The woman became addicted to the disciple's talent for the art of war Mr Tuân Sexual desire is the closing of the mind making it difficult to accept the truth Be careful to control your own mind do not let your mind run wild It is often said that those who pursue endless desires are like drinking saltwater The more you drink the more you thirst the deeper you get involved the more harm you face Throwing yourself into the wolf's mouth without fear Desire makes the body weak and sickly adding much suffering and distress Love stories filled with tears also arise from passionate love Because of lust a virtuous person can become a robber A filial person can become rebellious and cause their parents distress A good husband and a faithful wife can lose their loyalty Cause families to be separated children to be left alone How many heroic warriors throughout history have perished because of a single sharp punch Kings and lords have lost their countries and families ruined themselves and brought disgrace upon their people leaving a bad reputation for generations Sexual desire is self-destruction It is the behavior of the vulgar sinking themselves into filth The Buddha compared them to a foolish child Because of a little ink on the sharp blade he had to suffer the loss of his tongue Or like a foolish person holding a feather against the wind the evil will burn their hand Desire harms people more than wild beasts or floods because it leads people to do evil deeds Evil karma from many past lives is heavy causing suffering and rebirth in the cycle of suffering unable to escape
