After the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan, the CCP harassed Taiwan more frequently, and its military activities near Taiwan have continued to this day. Not afraid of the pressure of the CCP, politicians from democratic countries continue to visit Taiwan.

Stephanie Murphy, vice chair of the Subcommittee on Intelligence and Special Operations of the House Armed Services Committee led a cross-party delegation of lawmakers to arrive at 桃园Taoyuan International Airport on the evening of September 7th. They will visit Taiwan for three days.

In addition to the American delegates, Cyril Pellevat, vice chairman of the European Affairs Committee of the French Senate, led 5 congressmen to Taiwan on Sept. 6th. The Prime Minister of Tuvalu, Natano and his wife led a delegation to Taiwan for a state visit from Sept. 3 to 9.

The Biden administration sent two U.S. Navy cruisers through the Taiwan Strait in August. According to a statement from the U.S. Seventh Fleet, the cruisers USS Antietam and USS Chancellorsville passed through the Taiwan Strait on a routine mission. It was the first time U.S. ships have crossed the Taiwan Strait since U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan.

In response, the Chinese Communist Party has threatened to take countermeasures.
