Pachelbel - Canon in D Major (Violin and Piano)

Canon in D (Re) Major is a piece created by the german Johann Pachelbel in 1680 and is his most famous work. This beautiful and realxing harmony is a "canon", it involves a repeating bass progression over which three instrumental parts each play the same melodic material but starting at different times.
This song became a little obscure since the end of the 20th century, becoming performed by many orchestras and as soundtrack for many movies and basis for many songs since the 70´s. Here is the first os two movements. The second, Gigue in D Major is more dance-like.
