三世業債一世還-下 “Karmic debts of 3 lifetimes, repaid in 2”

Hi, everyone
又到了唐笛說故事的時間了
It's time for Tang Di's Storytelling
我們先來回顧一下 上一集說的
Let's review the last episode.
這個孩子啊 非常的善良
This boy was very kind,
可是他後面的結果竟然是被雷劈死
but he ended dead by lightning strike
那村民們為他感到憤憤不平
The villagers felt angry for him.
於是啊
Therefore,
攔下了包公的官轎
they stopped Bao Gong’s sedan chair
告訴包公了這件事情
and told him what happened to the boy.
包公啊就留下了六個字轉身離開
Bao Gong wrote down a sentence and left.
那這六個字的就叫「寧行惡 勿行善」
The sentence is “Better do evil than good”
意思是什麼呢 就是啊如果今天看到這個孩子的下場
What does it mean? That is, if we see what happened to this boy today,
是不是就是告訴大家 寧可去做壞事當壞人
is it telling us that we would rather do bad things and be a bad person
也不要做好事做好人因為善沒善報嗎
than do good things and be a good person
因為善沒善報嗎? 真的是這樣嗎
because good deeds are not rewarded? Is that true?
今天的故事 就會跟大家繼續分享下去
Today’s story will answer this question.

包公回到了朝廷之後將這個孩子的事情呢告訴了皇上
When Bao Gong returned to the court, to the emperor.
可是啊他卻沒有告訴皇上他有寫字這件事情喔
However, he didn’t tell the emperor that he had written a sentence.
等皇上處理朝中的事情結束之後啊
When the emperor was finished with his court business,
皇上把包公拉到了後院
the emperor dragged the Bao Gong into the backyard
跟包公分享他最近新添了一位一個龍子
and shared with him that he had recently got a new son.
那可是啊這個小皇子很令人十分喜愛但是啊 每天就是哭鬧不休
This little prince, he is very cute, but he cries all the time,
就請包公去看一下到底是怎麼回事
so the emperor asked Bao Gong to see what's going on
那包公看到了小皇子果真啊令人十分喜愛的
When Bao Gong saw the little prince, he was really delighted.
他又發現 咦 這小皇子的手臂上怎麼好像是有字呢
He also noticed that on the little prince's arm, something was written
他向前貼近一看 啊 心頭一驚
He leaned forward to take a closer look and was shocked to see that
竟然是他寫的這六個字耶
it was him who had written the sentence.
於是啦他就伸手去摸了小皇子的手臂一下
So he reached out his hand and touched the little prince's arm,
嘿 說也奇怪 不摸便罷 一摸啊 小皇子的手背上的字 竟然消失了
but strangely enough, the words on the back of the little prince's hand disappeared.
說來很有趣喔 在包公的眼裡啊 手臂上喔這個是字
Interestingly enough, to Bao Gong this is a sentence on his arm,
可是在別人的眼裡 這可是個胎記
but to others, it's just a birthmark.
皇上一看到小皇子手背上的胎記
As soon as the emperor saw the birthmark on the back of the little prince's hand
被包公這麼一摸不見了 生怕對小皇子 有什麼樣不好的影響
was gone by Bao Gong's touch, he was afraid of any bad influence on the little prince.
非常的生氣 於是就罵了包公
The emperor was very angry, so he scolded Bao Gong.
包公啊就請皇上息怒 罪臣該死
He asked the emperor to calm his anger,
就把他寫字的這經過又告訴了皇上
and told the emperor the story of his writing.
皇上一聽覺得事情沒有這麼簡單喔
The Emperor heard the story and thought it was not that simple,
於是啊就請包公躺上這個陰陽枕
So, he asked Bao Gong to lie down on the Yin-Yang Pillow
到陰曹地府去一探究竟
and go to the netherworld to find out what happened.
這邊先跟大家簡單說明一下
I went a brief explanation about this to you
其實以前的人 德行很好 能夠跟上天有所連通的喔
In the past, if people were very virtuous,they were able to connect with heaven.
那包公就是個德行非常好的人他睡上陰陽枕
Bao Gong is a very virtuous man, he slept on the Yin-Yang Pillow,
他白天可以審陽間的案喔
he could try cases in the living world during the day,
那到了晚上如果陰間有冤案
and at night, if there were cases of injustice in the netherworld,
包公也會到陰間去辦案喔
he would also go to the netherworld to handle the cases!
好了 到了陰曹地府之後啊 見了閻王爺
Well, after arriving at the netherworld, and meeting with the Lord of the netherworld,
結果閻王爺把這個事情的真相告訴了包公之後
the Lord told the truth of this matter to the Bao Gong,
哇 真相大顯 原來這個孩子啊
and the truth was brought to light! It turned out that this boy
他在上一輩子作惡多端
had done a lot of evil things in his last life,
是個做了非常非常多的壞事的人
he was a person who had done a lot of evil things.
他所做的這些壞事必須要償還三輩子才能過償還的喔
He has to repay three lifetimes for all the bad things he did.
所以神的安排就是他的第一輩子就是孤兒 瘸子
So God's plan is: His first life was to be an orphan, a cripple;
第二輩子就是他是一個雙目失明的人是個瞎子
his second life was to be a man without eyesight, a blind man;
第三輩子呢他就是要被雷擊中
his third life was to be struck by lightning,
然後呢? 曝屍在這個荒野當中沒人發現
and then to be dead in the wilderness where no one would ever find him.
下場是很悲涼的 那麼
Such miserable endings! Well,
這個因為神看到這個孩子在這一世痛改前非
because God saw that this boy has changed his ways in this life
是一個非常善良而且處處都想到別人的人
as a very good person who thought of others in every way.
於是 神決定將第二世的這個業債
So God decided to take this karmic debt from the second life
拿到這一世讓他償還 於是他就瞎眼了
and bring it to this life to be repaid, and he went blind.
那因為這個孩子啊 沒有怨天尤人喔
This boy did not blame God
雖然遇到了這樣的一個遭遇
for what had happened to him,
他還是內心裡面充滿的就是別人 別人 別人 完全沒考慮到自己
yet his heart was still full of others, and he did not think of himself at all.
於是啊 神又決定讓他把第三世的業債
Then God decided that he could pay his karmic debts from the third life
在這一世給償還掉了 於是他就被雷劈中倒地身亡了
in this life as well and he was struck by lightning and died.
那這個三世業債一世還
About the karmic debts from 3 lifetimes that repaid in 1,
閻王爺就問包公 是好 還是不好呢
the Lord of the netherworld asked Bao Gong is it good or bad?
哇 包公聽完之後是非常的滿意
After hearing this, Bao Gong was very satisfied
這個孩子整個後面的一個安排
with the whole arrangement of this child's life.
好啦 故事說到這裡 大家回想一下
Okay, that’s today’s story! Let's think about this:
是不是我們當初也跟這些村民 包括包公一樣
Did we, like the villagers,including Bao Gong,
認為這個孩子啊 這麼善良可是沒有得到好的結果
think that this boy was so kind, but without any good outcome,
是不是就開始懷疑 到底善惡有沒有報啊
we began to doubt whether good and evil would be repaid?
很多人都覺得 不相信善惡有報的道理
Many people don't believe that good will be rewarded with good, and evil with evil,
於是都去開始做壞事 所以現在社會的
so they start to do bad things,which is why this phenomenon
這個現象就比較糟糕一點 對不對
is getting worse in our society nowadays.Am I right?
其實大家記得 善有善報 惡有惡報
Remember,good will be rewarded with good, and evil with evil,
這可是不變的道理喔 我們不能只看到
and this is an unchangeable principle! We can't just look at
事情的表面就覺得老天爺不公平 其實並不是如此的
the surface of things and think that God is being unfair. That's not the case!
記得時時提醒自己 做個善良的好人
Remember to remind yourself to be a good person
多幫助別人心存善念 那就準沒錯啦
and help others with good intentions,which is never going to be wrong!
