Tropical Planters With Houseplants

Finally getting the Miami planters from Le Beau pottery planted up! These needed to have big and bold foliage in them to set them apart from the dark background of my honeysuckle vines so I used houseplants like the Cordyline fruticosa ( ti plant ) and variegated shell ginger ( alpinia zerumbet variegata ) to get instant, heavy impact. The curcuma ginger gives some extra color with the purple flowers and the creeping jenny trailing over the front finishes it all off wonderfully. I spent a moment talking about cache pot planting and a few things to consider when faux potting or faux planting houseplants. I tried to find a link for the planters but it looks like you'll have to contact your local nurseries directly for them as I don't see any online info that is useful for them.
