Madness scene in version Laurent Pelly und Evelino Pidò (critic version) sang and played by Olga Peretyatko in Vienna (February 2019)
In the middle of the scene cadence alone without Glass Harmoniсa written by Evelino Pidò in Dec 2018.
“Cadence with an Instrument is a mistake”,- so said E. Pidò by one of many interviews before the opening. “Famous cadence was written in 1898 for certain singer (Amelie Melba) by her voice teacher and not by Donizetti who intended just exposed one bar cadenza with coming down to the tonic (key-note)”, - so Evelino Pidò, “this cadence has to reflect madness of Lucia and no become an extra piece in the opera”, - so E.Pidò.
