2026年7月18日，美国加州部分法輪功學員在聖地亞哥著名景点巴博亚公园（Balboa Park）舉办了讲真相、集体炼功、真善忍畵展、反迫害征签和燭光悼念等活動。法輪功學員传真相，唤良知，呼籲制止中共對法輪大法修煉者長達27年的殘酷迫害，并悼念那些在中共迫害中失去生命的法輪功學員。
活動期间，美国加州聖地亞哥县第二选區监督委员乔尔‧安德森（Joel Anderson）委托代表迈尔斯‧布罕（Mile Buhain）到现场向法輪功艺术展暨燭光悼念活動颁发了褒奖（Proclamation），正式宣布每年7月18日为第二选區“法輪功日（Falun Gong Day）”。褒奖令高度肯定法輪功學員坚持真、善、忍信仰，長期以和平方式反對迫害，并赞扬他们弘扬中華传统文化、促进宗教自由、人权和社会善良价值，为當地社區作出的积极贡献。

On July 18, 2026, Falun Gong practitioners from Southern California held a day of peaceful activities at San Diego's renowned Balboa Park, including group exercises, informational displays, the Art of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance exhibition, a petition drive calling for an end to the persecution, and a candlelight vigil. The event aimed to raise public awareness of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) 27-year persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners, appeal to the public to help end the ongoing human rights abuses, and honor those who have lost their lives because of the persecution in China.
During the event, San Diego County Second District Supervisor Joel Anderson, through his representative Mile Buhain, presented a Proclamation recognizing the Falun Gong Art Exhibition and Candlelight Vigil. The proclamation officially designated July 18 as "Falun Gong Day" in the County's Second District. It praised Falun Gong practitioners for their unwavering commitment to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, their peaceful advocacy against the persecution, and their contributions to the local community by promoting traditional Chinese culture, religious freedom, human rights, and values of kindness, integrity, and compassion.
